OEM Acura Front Windshield Sun Shade

I picked up the rubberized truck tray and the front windshield sun shade from my selling dealer last night. I hadn't seen any pics of the exact coverage of the OEM sun shade or how it fits so I wanted to post mine here. Fits perfect (as it should).

Looks just like the covercraft; wonder if they share the same manufacturer

I'd bet money Acura uses Covercraft as their supplier. Agree that it looks just like my Covercraft.

It looks great. I love the warning label:
"Do not operate..."
Fine print: Our lawyers made us put this stupid label here. Who would attempt to drive with this installed? Darwinian Award Nominees?

Hello is there anyway you can measure the dimensions for your sunshade roughly. In other words trying to gauge if it could be pieced into a TL 3g. They seem to roughly have same shape pattern to the windshield.

I have one, it's very sturdy and fits perfectly.

Also I keep it on the front passenger side wedged between the seat and the door. Perfect opening for it.

I'm jealous that you live somewhere where you actually need a sunshade.

I have a dashcam right under my rear-view mirror. Do you think the sunshade will fit with a dashcam there?

Thanks!

How big is your dashcam?

The opening under the rearview mirror on the sunshade is pretty tall and wide, but depending on your dashcam it may not fit over it.

I think it should clear it. May have to wedge the sunshade just a bit under, but it should clear it.

Good thing you have a slim dashcam

When I tried to get one from my canadian dealer, he said there wasn't anything available.

I was surprised that we couldn't get one. Haven't asked again...

It's a pain in the fucking ass. Seriously. Acura Canada doesn't seem to talk to Acura USA. For some reason, they didn't have the spare tire kit available (the one with the actual spare plus the foam inserts and jack). I complained to the regional representative when he came to check out my illuminated door sills that weren't fitting correctly (they fixed that too). About 2 weeks later, the parts guy from the dealership called me and said the spare kit was suddenly available. You might have to do the same thing for the sun shade. Bug the parts guy at your dealership and show him the Acura USA website that has it, but the Canada one doesn't. If he's like the parts guy at my dealership he'll harass Acura until they make it available.

just order it online and have it shipped to you ... Honda Parts Unlimited | Genuine OEM Honda Parts & Accessories

They are giving 10 percent off as well. They have very good prices in general too.
