New car warranty coverage

I just found out from several sources that my alternator is going bad from tests done by the roadside assistance guy and the other done by Sears. I'll be going to the dealer tomorrow to make sure, but wouldn't the alternator (and maybe the starter, too) be covered under the new car warranty? I know that if I change the battery, the dealer would prorate the cost. My 2015 TLX Advance has 32K miles.

Yes, all covered plus the battery. I know my local dealer is tracking issues with the OEM AGM batteries...

Hmm... my car had problems starting on the first attempt a few times, so I took it to the dealer to see if it was the battery. They said they couldn't find anything wrong, but the car hasn't had the issues starting anymore. No idea if they did anything or not.
