Happy owner of the new TLX

I finally bought 2015 TLX V6 Tech grey luster with black interior. I believe it is one of the last production batches of year 2015. I took advantage of a good deal. $38500 drive out of dealer price including taxes, remote engine start, all season floor mats and trunk mat, nitro package.
I drove 50 miles from dealer to home yesterday night and was really impressed. I was reading a lot about ZF transmission problems, but this car shift so smooth, I could not feel any shifts at all, and I test drove with a slow speed with going in reverse, with full stops before I bought this car. With 70 miles speed on a highway engine working with 1400 -1500 rpm.
Interior very quite compare to my 2012 CRV. Lane keep assist and BSM working great even at night. I listened some classic music and ELS sound system working awesome.
Jewel eyes are masterpiece in this car. It's so bright and looks like a mix of white and light blue colors. I know it will take me some time to learn all the features of TLX but I already downloaded TLX app with short videos explaining multiple functions.
PS. I test drove bmw 328i, 335i, MB C300, Lexus IS350 F sport, GS350, 2016 accord EL-X before I bought TLX. All of those cars are great, but TLX won as an aver all package.

If price were out of the picture, would you have chose the TLX over the 3 series BMW or Lexus ? I agree that the Jewel Eyes are probably the best looking part of the TLX though

MB C300 was my second choice with great balance of sport and luxury, but would cost 52000 equipped with all features I like. I have to admit, it has the best in class head up display. I really liked BMW 335i, it feels like a rocket and priced at 55000. I drove Lexus GS350 right after 335i BMW and had a feeling that I was driving a limousine, unless you drive F Sport which make a big difference.

I did not test drive 4 cylinder TLX. I had 4 cylinders accords before and engine have to work harder with higher RPM. TLX V6 cruising at 1400-1500 RPM on a 45 mph and same RPM on a 70 mph

I know you asked him, but I also recently bought a TLX V6 and I can give you my thoughts on it.

I'm coming from a 2008 WRX(an Automatic 228hp/228ft/lb ). I drove a 2016 ILX and the I4 TLX which are essentially the same drive train. While Acuras both were adequate and reasonably motivated, I felt the torque wasn't there, at least to the level I am used to. My wife on the other hand felt the I4 was plenty but she's driven Civics for 30 years and wants a small, sedate vehicle.

I definitely think the 8DCT is the better transmission but I prefer a vehicle that has some pull lower in the RPM range rather than running flat out at 5k+. In other words, it felt like a 4cyl to me. The V6 pulls good until 5k then pulls real hard after that.

As for handling, everyone says the I4 handles better. Shrug. I'm not doing rally racing nor testing the limits of the skid pad. This is a commuter car for me, it's as agile as it needs to be and I don't feel like it was a downgrade compared to my WRX. I don't run summer tires and frankly if I really wanted stiff cornering, that's the first place I'd look. The Bridgestone Potenzas are ok but there is clear room for improvement.

Excellent pics that really show off the great looks of this car. Love the Grey Luster - My graphite TSX was somewhat similar.

Car looks sharp however you should always make sure a good song is playing before you snap the obligatory shot of the interior!

And how did you manage to show the wallpaper with clock on screen? I found the wallpaper but couldn't make it show on top screen.

I believe after you set clock and wallpaper you need to press "I" button and wait for a second or two. It will replace Navigation screen. You can always press "Nav" screen to show it on main screen.

So far drove over 200 miles. Car is awesome. My first Acura after 3 accords and one CRV. It looks, feels and drive like a luxury car(compared to honda).I was concerned about ZF transmission, but so far it shift smoooooof. I do not feel any shifts. I drive it in normal mode only and try not to push it hard at least till the first thousand miles. The only issue I have is annoying buzz noise coming from seat belt tensioner on a driver side B pillar. Just next to my left ear. I scheduled appointment with dealer on Saturday. I like the ability to send addresses to navigation using Acuralink, like vehicle status feature on Acuralink app, but it takes 30-50 seconds to connect and retrieve information. I downloaded Acura stream with Aha and removed it after being frustrated with app. It was disconnecting every few minutes and graphics are really outdated.
It could be great if Acura fixed little issues, but so far I really love this car!!!!!!!

Congrats! 12 months after my TLX ownership, I am still very, very happy with my choice. In fact, I am happier now than 12 months ago when I first picked it up! I am sure that you will love it more and more over time. Enjoy!

Not much in the E class line for $55K But in a C class a C450 AMG Sedan twin turbo 365hp V6 with some options.

Pretty nice car.

Congratulations on the new ride! I also picked up an I4 Tech last week and am absolutely in love with it. I traded in a base 2010 Mercedes C300 and it's like driving a (highly refined) space shuttle in comparison.
