Good Price for a V6 Tech?
I think my car is going to be salvaged, I should know by the end of day!
For a V6 Tech, TrueCar quotes $37,254 for the price paid in my area, with Invoice $38,144, and MSRP $40,295.
My dealer gave me a quote of $36,795 (without taxes & fees). I will ask them to throw in a trunk liner or something too. Do you think this is a good deal?

My dealer offered us the same 36795 that is actual invoice price on the V6 Tech, and is the lowest any dealership was able to go for us. They were able to offer Fog lights and remote start installed in the deal to help match the gap. Price after TTL out the door with 0 miles fresh off a truck was 39,500 (texas)

According to my dealer (Classic Acura, Beaumont Texas) no. The general sales manager gave us a print out of the actual cost to the dealership to let us know that they are doing the best they can (Seems like ALL dealerships are pushing new tlx at the largest discount to ensure they move stock before the 2016 maybe?). From what our estimate showed, the actual invoice price is 36795.
Replied in your other thread with some additional advice regarding the insurance company. We just finished settling this afternoon on ours.

38k is the correct invoice price.
36795 is an okay deal but you should aim for more. I got mine 4 months ago 3500 off msrp. Im guessing with still a huge inventory and the 2016 coming soon, you should be able to squeeze more. Check if they still have the 750 cash incentive... also since its your 2nd tlx from them, they should give you a break...
One more thing. its just the beginning of the month. If you can, wait it out until the incentives are out.

Advanced
When I bought my V6 Advance in December, I got my best information on KBB.com. after you enter the equipment you're looking for, it will give you a circular graph with low price paid in your area, invoice, and high price.
I went in demanding the low, and got it.

Narnia, if I may be so bold - True Car is terrible!

mondster, FYI I'm paying cash, and I can't wait until the end of the month. I need a car asap since I'm paying for a rental.

Thanks bbast07, just priced the car through KBB.com and got $36,296, vs. the TrueCar price of $37,254. We didn't negotiate on the price of $36,795 the dealer offered yet, but he's going to install a new spoiler at no charge.

I agree-wait a few more days-TLX sales were not very good in July-only 3,530 sold. Acura might up the incentives especially on the V-6 and all dealers have many TLX's in stock so they should be motivated as well to move units and reduce their floor plan costs.

Narnia...So your insurance company isn't providing you with a rental? I know things vary but where I live, the rental would be included and the GAP coverage (called differently here) will make up the difference so that for the first 2 years of ownership, if my car gets totaled, I get the full replacement....Mind you, we probably pay more up here as my insurance costs is about 650$ a year.

Geico is going to salvage my car, hooray!
I got a price of $37,293 including a deck lid spoiler installed ($400) and destination ($920) for my new V6 Tech. That includes the incentive. Sound good?
