The color looks great but I'm not a fan of the mods as a whole....

Someone needs to buy it and mass produce the front and rear. Would never consider personally since it's an i4

I hate it when car dealers don't list the price online.

Interesting. With the aggresive body kit, color, etc, I would have thought they would have gone with an AWD V6 model, and some engine mods.

Same here. I always find it odd to see twin exhaust tips on a 4 cyl., but that's just me

its a 4 banger front wheel drive. Way overpriced IMO. Beautiful car though, the blue is gorgeous.

I have always fantasized about wrapping my car in a nice blue, not a fan of the fanthom blue to dark imo plus black interior wasnt an option (in US) and blacking stuff out, this gives me a great idea.

Typical Acura...too cheap to even give Galpin the "hi-po" model to back up the looks. What's that saying...all show and no go

Well based on their press release...

It was basically a design study for SEMA. So what version of TLX was irrelevant.

Fair point...but something tells me BMW wouldn't have given AC Schnitzer a 320i to make a show car that was more aggressive than even its own M3

Really did you read that press release? The word performance was used 3 times in the first paragraph, and if you want to talk performance, you usually want to start with the highest performing base.

Yes I did read the whole article. It references 3 different TLX's. The Gaplin TLX, the HPD / Realtime TLX and a TLX featuring Acura Genuine Accessory package.

In reference to the Gaplin TLX, the word "performance" is mentioned here:
  1. "Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX to debut at SEMA featuring custom styling and performance modifications"
  2. "performance-oriented exterior modifications made by Galpin."
  3. "Blending luxury and performance elements into the design"

I interpreted "performance-oriented exterior modifications" as cosmetic enhancements.

The article then goes on to say the following:

"The Galpin TLX represents a collaborative effort between Galpin Custom Car Works and the Los Angeles-based Acura Design Studio. Sketches developed by Acura Design and the exterior cues of the TLX GT racecar served as the basis for performance-oriented exterior modifications made by Galpin. The Galpin TLX showcases a new signature Acura brand color, Andaro Blue."

This lead me to the conclusion that this was a design study between Acura Design Studio and Gaplin CCW.

That color and that body kit are GREAT IMO. But $50k for a used 4-banger TLX? I dunno...

I'm probably in the minority here, but that looks like the same blue that was on the little plastic toy cars I used to play with as a kid.

That's why I never associate it with REAL cars. Give me almost any color but blue.
