Carbon fiber wraping beak DIY
First timer. Took me an hr to complete.
You need to heat up the warp first before applying.
Here is some pictures
2nd picture
Sorry for the blurry picture.
Starting from the top
Be careful, those warp is easily to be scratched
3rd picture
Heating up the warp
Use your thumb to squeeze bubbles from centre to the end
Always cut a little more than edge then tuck it in the gap.
4th picture.
Cutting logo out
You have to cut it a little small than logo otherwise the chrome will expose
Final picture
Here you go.
Have fun with DIY. Next project will be on side mirror

There is another thread. I am in the process of doing my TLX beak, but I decided to paint the beak instead of the carbon fiber wrap. I wanted the beak to match the paint. There are some pictures in the thread here:

I'll have more pictures up soon.
You did a good job of applying the carbon fiber without removing the grille. I thought of painting the beak without removing it, but thought I could do a much better job if I remove it. It is coming out very good. I'm on my second coat of poly. The removal of the grille takes about 90 to 120 minutes for a first timer and then perhaps 40 to 60 minutes to reassemble. Good job!

I think he was busting on your spelling mistake - warp vs wrap.

I think your mod will look fine on your car (white it looks), but I actually have grown to like the contrast of the beak on my black car. I think Acura has finally done a tasteful job with getting the right amount of "beakness" on their cars.
I saw the "warp" misspelling too, but it's already been addressed, so I'll just congratulate you guys for running with it.

Awesome job.
I thought I was getting old and missed out on the slang use of "warp".
Glad I am still with it but still getting old.

Really nice. I am interested how you cut out the logo... What tools did you use? How did you get it so clean?

If you have the Advance (as I do) make sure not to disturb the flat black paint on the back of the beak. I purchased some carbon fiber and was going to use that by removing the grille and then removing the Acura emblem, applying the carbon fiber and then installing the emblem over the carbon fiber. I just didn't think that I could cut out the emblem and make it look professional. After I read about how carbon fiber can block millimeter radar, I decided on non-metallic paint instead.

Wrapping Beak
Now that I have seen several TLXs with a black beak, I have to have it. I haven't decided whether to use gloss or satin black yet, but either should be easier than carbon fiber because of the pattern. The real issue is that while I prefer to do the wrap on a workbench, I really don't want to remove the bumper.. You did a really good job that way - would you recommend it or was it really more difficult?
Thanks,
ranger
