2016 tlx drl
Hey, I'm just here to predict on the 2016 TLX DRL, our current DRL are just the top part of the jewel eye headlights but I think Acura is moving away from that for all 2016 models. I'm assuming they will tweak the front lights a little to make room for the light bar style DRL and use that as a new selling point for the TLX with maybe CarPlay. I personally like the way the DRL look on my tlx. It's a little more unique than other DRL's

The only time the headlights look dull IMO is right around dusk when they are on and hence only 3 bulbs are lit but it is not dark enough to get the pop from the LEDs. I think there is more presence with all 5 during the day or when it is dark enough the 3 LEDs pop. It is a good signature look IMO. I remember first seeing the new MDX and it had presence.

The 2016 MDX didn't get the strip so I'm thinking (and hoping) that Acura will go with the RLX having its unique look, the MDX/TLX continuing with the current the 5 LED DRL and the RDX/ILX with its LED strip.

Presumably the reason (at least according to Acura) is that the outer 3 are aimed specifically differently than the inner two, so as to provide good light without blinding oncoming drivers, and that's why the high beams are the inner two + outer 3.
