2015 TLX CPO with only 15 miles?!
So I have been looking to purchase a new TLX but the dealership I dealt with a few weeks back wasn't really giving me the numbers I wanted so I decided to wait it out a bit. A few days ago the sales guy calls me and says he just got in 2 TLXs that were previously owned that I may be interested in and would be more within my preferred price range. I never really thought about CPO and wasn't even really going to give it a second thought but just out of boredom today I decided to go check out their CPOs online. I just went on their website to view the car and the vehicle looks extremely clean! Like no way this actually belonged to someone! So I scroll down and see that the car only has 15 miles on it! Can that truly be a pre owned vehicle? Who drives a vehicle for 15 miles and returns it? Should I just chalk it up to an error on the website? It is listed as CPO and priced as a CPO in my opinion but then again I have never purchased a CPO before. Anyone have any insight on this?

15 miles does seem odd but stranger things have happened. Someone bought it on impulse got home and their partner demanded that it be returned immediately or else.
Put a reserve on it while you investigate the history as it could be a great deal if meets your needs.

Yep.. years and years ago my ex and I went through that.. picked up a car on a Friday awaiting the loan to go through. We got the call on Monday that we'd have to pay a much higher APR than we wanted, so we took the car back after adding about 100 miles to it.

I would probably take a look at it. It could be a good deal as the others have said, or a mistake, but it may be worth a test drive. The price could be worth the try and it might be a good deal. The only way to know is to take a closer look. Good luck.

Dealership Relations
Based on my experience, it sounds like an unwind. However, most dealerships treat "unwind" vehicles like new cars. There could be more to it. Ask questions confidently and make sure to obtain accurate information before making a decision.

Well I haven't had the time to go back down to the dealership yet because I have been working and it is 2 hours away from me. I was able to pull up the carfax though and the vehicle actually has 8300 miles on it. Kind of a bummer but it is still available. I plan to go check it out next weekend when I'm off if it's still there because, like I said, it did look extremely clean in the pictures.

Many times you will find these cars still in dealer's new inventories depending on their computer system (we used to) they will stay there, but really be already titled and sold to the dealer as loaners. When done, they get pulled out, serviced and sold as CPO.

When I got my TLX, the odometer stated on the agreement that it has 11 miles. Had to correct them and said when I test drove the car it clearly had 50ish miles on it. Could be an unwind and haven't updated the actual miles.
