Yep! LOL!!!

One thread sticky called something like "essential technical documentation" would be nice.

Ps. Where are the instructions for the block heater? Up here in the true north and frozen this is the first thing i bolt on to my cars.

What is the idea with the optional, dealer installed steering wheel?

Probably the fake wood trim wheel is offered as an option. Or maybe the car comes with just a 22mm wrench from the factory? LoL

^^^

Thanks for the block heater instructions. Once again the process says remove the front bumper even though there is no need to do so as I found out on my TL. There is enough space and openings to thread the wire around that area without removing the bumper, just the air duct and tray. Not sure why they do that, I guess maybe billing hours.

I think he meant installation instructions for the spare. I would like that as well to see if it is a DIY thing or if the dealer has to actually do something to mount the new tire holder.

I've been pondering long and hard on this one

"NOTE: the PCM code will be required for this procedure.
1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector."

Does this mean that I can't just install it on my own with just the install kit?

For whatever reason, Acura did not yet release an installation instruction for the TLX spare tire kit.

They released one for the RLX, which is BII51837. To view it, just open one of the TLX techinfo links and replace the two portions of the link with the RLX number.

You can't do it yourself. The key fob's need to be programmed to the car, and it takes a special device that the dealer has - the HDS - which plugs into the car's data port.

NOTE: the PCM code will be required for this procedure.
1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector.
2. From the System Selection Menu, select ONE-
PUSH START, then go to Registration.
3. From the Registration Menu, select KEYLESS
ACCESS Remotes, then select 2-WAY KEYLESS
SETUP. Change the setting to 2-WAY KEYLESS
mode.
4. Go back to the KEYLESS ACCESS Remotes
Registration Menu, select Add a KEYLESSACCESS
Remote, and follow the instructions on the HDS
screen. Do not bring the Remote Starter remote into
the vehicle until the HDS asks for the new remote.
5. Repeat step 4 for the second Remote Starter
remote.
6. After registration, verify all remote-related systems
work normally with all remotes

Thanks. I called my local dealer and they want 190 to install. I might just install and have them activate. Has anyone done this

Rommel,

Mine charged $70 for programming 1 fob. I have a V6 Advance which comes with only 1 engine start remote. I ordered the other fob online, and saved $60 on the part, then took it to the dealer to program.
