In an effort to "upgrade" my trustworthy but slightly becoming boring car after all these years, I would like to change my 2009 RDX rear turn signal lights into amber.

Will it be as simple as installing a set of amber LED bulbs into the existing housing? Won't the red housing change the colour into red no matter what colour bulb I use?

This one is a regular bulb but supposedly fits my car. The main question is whether switching to amber bulbs will make my blinker amber since the housing cover seems to be red.

Has anyone done a similar experiment? I would also much appreciated any advice regarding changing the bulbs into LED.
