I just bought a ring to propose in less than a month, and my gf and I picked it out together (though yes, it was much harder to plan a "surprise" proposal with her knowing that I already have the hardware). However, if you choose the ring together, you'll have 100% assurance that it's what she wants. The worst thing that could happen, aside from the cold sting of rejection, is that she despises the ridiculously expensive ring that you buy her.

Is your friend a custom jeweler too? I went through a custom jeweler who made an exact replica of a designer ring for less than half the cost. Also, you could always buy a cheapo CZ ring from eBay for $40 to propose, then go ring shopping right after. good luck and early congrats!

Yea, I don't think that is going to go over very well.

So....why did the pics stop? We mostly all agree that he should take her with him and the second ring is nicer. Why else are we up to page 4?

You'll be surprised how many girls wouldn't know the difference In fact CZ reflects light even more, it just looks like a crystal ball mess, lol

I sometimes look at a diamond and think how this tiny POS can cost soo much money, but then the light hits it, and I get it. I get it. I rather go on multiple sick vacations around the world, but I get it. Women. #$#^%@#$!!

Buy the ring before you close. Once you have a new house, your bank will be sucked dry.

Yeah I had a ton of money saved up but it's depleting at a rapid rate haha.

Just our downpayment and closing costs came up to around 35k, then you can only imagine, fortunatly we already have basically everything we need, just want to buy a new bedroom set. Washer and dryer we got brand new normally was 2500, spent 1200. I used to manage the front end of Lowes when I was in high school and college. Gotta love perks.

Just bought my old truck back also....ugh its been a stressful 3 months(not really kind of exciting) but thats why I'm fortunate enough to have done the amount of work to the TL that I have in a year of owning it.

So what happened? Three possibilities:

1. OP bought ring. She loved it. Happily ever after.

2. She found pics. Hated ring. She got new bedroom set. OP got old truck. Lawyers got new boats.

3. OP kept ring. Bought himself nice dress and heels to go with it. Now dating jewelry store boy.

Teh fuck is going on here?

Help me pick a ring for my lady, posts his lady's T&A to help us decide.

I don't suggest taking your lady ring shopping and having her pick it. It sucks everything away from it. Instead you can ask what kind of setting she likes and preference in an engagement ring. Most important thing is to get the right size.

IMO, if it's the right lady, she'll like anything. It's the moment that's important. If the ring is more important than the gesture to her, maybe she's not the right one.

Funny the guys see the tits ass and face and automatically say she's a keeper and you're a dog. You guys have issues..

Wish I saw your message earlier lol. I quit posting because people were taking away from the enjoyable part of it for her and I. To many opinions that weren't agreeable to me. Anyways.

I just started looking again today, I realized the prices I looked at were way to high and I found a guy in NYC that has some very high quality stuff for amazing prices. The house has been insane, we redid all the floors, I installed hardwood, new carpets in the three bedrooms and office, it's been very busy, closed the pool finally two weeks ago and I did this anyways....

I'm going to get a ring and propose on our anniversary which is in april, or possibly valentines day we will see how it goes.

Good luck OP, don't let your girl read that post..

btw, where's the turbo? If you're going to do that build right, you need to connect with Bert and Rodney.

QFT. When I proposed to my fiancee, she didn't even look at the ring. She said yes and didn't look at the ring till I was trying to put it on her finger. She only looked at it after she stopped crying and hugging me. One of the best parts of our engagement story.

My good friend is a manager of a private jewelry store. I'm not getting ripped. I can assure you they both look way better in person, they are great quality and the jewler insures them. Best place around.

Yeah that toolbox adds 85 whp....My build is right, I'm not worried about it at all, Andy Gerzina is helping me with the tuning until I hit a dyno, regardless I can handle it. I bought the main parts of the kit off a guy that works R and D for Honda corporate. It's a nice solid kit. I'm just beefing it up and making it even better. It looks way different already even from that picture.....Just fabbing it up still, the intercooler piping is slightly different now. intake piping changed, just need to fab up the turbo and hopefully get a filter to fit it instead of that screen.

tool box is gone too lol
