It is becoming harder and harder to find a girl with NO TATTOOS.

First of all, as a woman, I can tell you that women can definitely have an orgasm during a one-night stand. Yes, some women want to feel safe and loved when having sex but these feelings are not a prerequisite to achieve orgasm. In fact, the thrill of having a one-night stand can heighten the pleasure.
Secondly, you are making generalizations based on a small group of women, which I'm assuming is comprised of a few girls you know. Some women get a tattoo to commemorate a loved one or as a form of expression. Sometimes, they just get one because it looks pretty. Now, I don't have a tattoo myself as I personally feel that I don't need to physically express myself (aside from the fact that I don't like pain). However, that does not mean that I'm going to judge other people negatively simply because they have a tattoo.
You need a large sample of women randomly drawn from the female population to make a statistical association of a characteristic (being tattooed vs. motivation). Anyway, I thought this article is interesting: Carmen, et al. (2012) Review of General Psychology, Vol 16, pp. 134-143.

"Ultimate Answers to Proximate Questions: The Evolutionary Motivations Behind Tattoos and Body Piercings in Popular Culture"
ABSTRACT: Numerous studies have found that piercing and tattooing the body is an increasingly prevalent trend in modern popular culture; however, this is not only a modern practice. Evidence of various forms of body ornamentation has been found in human societies dating back thousands of years. Although prior research has focused on the potential relationships between various personality traits and the likelihood of piercing or tattooing the body, few have approached this topic from an evolutionary perspective. For instance, the general motivations for getting tattoos and piercings have tended to fall into the same three categories for hundreds of years: (a) a symbol of an important past event, love, or friendship, (b) group membership, and/or (c) a marker of individuality. We argue that these motivations are simply proximate behaviors for an ultimate evolutionary reason: the perpetuation of one's genes. In this article, we propose two new theories about the origins of body ornamentation. First, in our “human canvas” hypothesis, we propose a link between body ornamentation and the human species' historical use of symbolic thought. Second, in our “upping the ante” hypothesis, we suggest that the steady rise in popularity of tattooing and piercing in Western culture has come about due to larger population densities and advancements in healthcare, which has led individuals to seek new and unique displays of fitness (i.e., body ornamentation). We then conclude with proximate examples in popular culture to display the proposed ultimate evolutionary reasoning behind body ornamentation.
P.S.PM me if you want a copy of this paper.

Ravi, thank you.
OP, pick some decent looking women. As Ravi said, they would still look fuck ugly if they didn't have tattoos.

In my personal opinion, tattoos are trashy. Are the people who possess them trashy?
Some are. But then, there are trashy people without them.
Correlation doesn't equal causation.

During the transitioning period where there is a mix of prejudice and acceptance, I'm personally not willing to pay the cost of the chance that I'll be 5% less likely to pass a job interview, 5% less likely to score a phone number because a girl makes an assumption, etc. Good luck to those willing

I will say this:
Getting a tattoo doesn't make you 'original', 'creative' nor 'unique'. OP is correct in that people seem to crave being different.
Monty Python's The Life of Brian sketch in 3.. 2.. 1..

What a crazy thread. I have an almost completed sleeve, other arm has tattoos, chest tattoos, and legs. My lovely wife is a stay at home mom (also with tattoos) and I have 2 amazing little girls. I have a job I enjoy and we are financially sound in these troubling economic times. I also have a very nice boner. I must be doing something wrong?

Must be.
I think we need to rename this thread - "It is becoming harder and harder to find members with half a brain."
But hey....that's my opinion. OP proved everyone is entitled to one.

I pray that you will use your degree for research strictly that will be torn apart by your peers. As a social worker, your opinion is horrifying that should be kept to yourself if you EVER want to have any respect in your field.
Many would argue that the fact that you and your wife openly browse dating sites together is a reflection of how you view your own marriage. You have some insecurity with your wife and she has some insecurity with herself, which creates a need for you two to try and justify your broken relationship by pointing out the flaws that others have in searching for love.
Tattoos are an expression of the self, whether male or female, just as the type of car someone drives or what type of clothing they wear. To judge someone based on their appearance will not only not get you far in your field of choice, but will someday get you in trouble. Just by your statements I have come up with certain opinions about your relationships with your wife (as I have seen this before)...it doesn't feel good to be judged based on a lack of knowledge does it?
All I can say is take your degree, write up a dissertation that can then be ignored by all of those around you that have a brain, and maybe then you will get off of your high horse and start being good at what you do.

I agree... I like small tats on girls or even tattoos that can be hidden. Some tattoos are artistic but some just make a girl look really trashy. That was one of the issues my ex and I had... she was going crazy with tats and I thought they were starting to look trashy. I'm the type of guy that likes when women dress up in dresses. Tattoos and dresses don't mix well... unless they are small and tasteful. Tats can be sexy as long as they are tasteful and well placed.
