Had a reuben omlette on Friday, some people might not like it, but they make the corned beef in house, and it was amazing

I've had the same god damn spinach salad for lunch for two months.
Totally worth the 20 lbs lost though!
Edit: Reuben omelet looks amazing btw!

You guys "rut" guys like me? Like the same thing for lunch day in and day out?
I found myself spending $10+ a day on lunch, on greasy burgers and chicken wings, and the weight just packed on. I realized how unimportant lunch really is. So I go to Kroger, make a spinach and chicken salad (not too far from the one Miz just posted) and eat outside in the sun. Of course all the smoking hot paralegals that eat outside has nothing to do with it.
Anyways, I've lost a ton of weight and this was one of the few things I changed. And now when I can't make it to Kroger for my salad I feel empty. Well, until I go get a vegetarian fajita bowl from Chipotle. Then I feel full again. :P

For those of you that eat healthy like salad and stuff - does that really fill you up? If I ate a salad I would be starving in like 15 minutes. Also what do you drink with your salad? Water?

Eat salad.
Hungry in 30.
Devour bag of Oreos over in the dark corner of the warehouse by Brenda's office.
Cry.
Repeat tomorrow.

When I ate salads I had to have protein with it, chicken or beef.
If I ate at 1pm id go hungry about 5pm or so.

A big green salad usually tides me over for about 2-2.5 hours. Right about the time to grab a mid-afternoon snack.
Adding a protein will take it another hour or so. Usually just do that for a dinner salad.
Oh, and yeah, drink water. And then more water. And later on... Yep; more water.

Iced Tea?
I cut soda and started on tea when I feel like some flavor. Always with the unsweetened though, because that's as much of a gutbomb as soda.
It's all about breaking the cycle. Your body is dependent (addicted?) on the sugar in the sodas and essentially goes through mini-withdrawals when it doesn't get a fix.
That and the Pavlovian response to "going to eat - need a soda" will keep your intake up to potentially unhealthy, or at least less-healthy, levels.
I'll grab a soda every once in a while, typically when carb-loading, and it's sooo sweet tasting. Like sickly sweet.
Try tea if you can. Add sweetener if you need to at first and try metering it out over time.

Yup I've stopped drinking soda for almost 4 years now.
When ever I do drink it on its own, I'm like "got damn that's soooooo sweet"
Followed by it giving me the runs
the only occasion I'll drink soda now is if it's mixed into a cocktail.

Also, have you tried adding lemon or lime to your water (or tea)? I drink a lot of water, but don't always like the taste, depending on the source. A little citrus can do wonders.

Could be nicer looking but we recently bought the Breville Pizzaiolo Smart Oven (indoors) to make wood-oven-styled pizza...pretty good. Tastes alot better than it looks...
Anyways, lunch.
