Pretty much the only reason I log on anymore. I've completed all the races (Except B-spec) and only have a couple I need to go back & get gold on (Veyron license test on Ascari, Vettel races, Senna, Moon).

Nissan Nismo GT-R LM is out for GT6. Too bad GT6 can't simulate car breakdowns. This car is such a disaster.

Also out is Peugeot's Vision GT car.

Anyone try the new cars yet? I need to wait until the weekend.

Not overly impressed with either.
We'll see what SRT can do with the Tomahawk. Not sure if it mean we'll get 3 cars from SRT? That's how the announcement seemed to read.

I have yet to enter the final round, but from what I saw on youtube, this nissan LM definitely isn't enjoyable to drive.

Wow, I had a very tough time understanding how a fucking FWD LMP works, only managed to get silver in round 4, but I got the the prize car and cash anyway, I am not going back. Have fun guys.

Yeah, it's weird to drive. Heavy understeer at low speed?

Meanwhile at the real life Le Mans qualifing, those GTA/Nissan drivers are having a very tough time behind the wheel too, they are now full 20 seconds behind the pace! LOL

Damn

To be honest though, I didn't expect the car to compete very well. There's a VERY good reason other teams are not using FWD on their LMP cars.

The GT-R LM also didn't have their hybrid system turned on during the race due to reliability problems, but even if it was turned on, it would still have been very slow compared to the other LMP cars.

SRT Tomahawks released. Tomahawk X on the Nodschliffe was pretty difficult, crazy fast car. Got it up to 421mph on SS X on the downhill.

I didn't try more than three times at the ring, went to the dealership and bought the car instead. I did win the other two cars though.

The hidden gem is the GTS-R, I detuned it to 750pp and it smoked all AI cars at Le Mans 24 mins, and it wasn't even close. The RH tires never wear out, the aero really work, shitload of grip even on wet surface, only have to refuel every 3 laps. Great great car for the S-class races.

Took me a few tries to get it right. Tough to string together a good lap with a valid time in that beast. When I was trying, the online record was in the 3:xx range. Ridiculous.

The latest expert event is easier than the Tomahawk X event, but to me its still ridiculously difficult...finally got it done after 4 fucking hours.

I gave up after 3-4 attempts. I could get 4th, but no better.
But the only viable cars I have are the Mazda LM55 & Sauber Mercedes.

The LM55 has too much understeer, its top speed on the final straight is crazy though, over 400kph.

That's where I made up a lot of ground. Had to crank up the front downforce to tame the understeer & keep it from flying off the track on the hill after the first set of turns at the beginning of the lap.

I get on every so often just for the free cars. Being 96% complete, there isn't much left to do. Just some really difficult stages.

They seem to have stepped up the difficulty on the seasonal events. The most recent expert level on the Eiffel (new?) track, I was struggling to even break into the top 10. High weather variability. May try it again with an AWD car instead of the detuned Nissan RC390 (or whatever it's called) that I was using.

So I downloaded this game after recapturing the GT bug after renting GT Sport on PS4 last weekend. I pretty much had avoided GT5 and 6 due to other games and life in general. I was disappointed with the GTS' lack of single player campaign and I don't want PS+ so why not for $15. Took a day and a half to download, install, download updates, install those, set up the game and drive the Renault to start it up. I must say this game seems to drive "easier" or I just dialed in the TCS better than in GTS but I have far better control. Plus seeing there are 1234123 cars and tracks available feels nice. Unfortunately the dated UI and the graphics on my plasma TV are no match for GTS' glorious home screen on my OLED connected to my sound bar and woofer. But I could always move the PS3 back to the big screen for those long race days. Anyways I've never had more respect than I did before for a Honda Fit. As yesterday was my first day, I faced my first real challenge in the final first set of missions with the GTR which was a pleasure to drive. I'm not the guy who gets golds on license tests and your times will be better than mine but if you want to add me so I can gawk at your times my PSN is Doom-878. Glad to be back on the track and drooling at these beasts.

I'll have to give this one a shot again. I'd abandoned it, as the last couple times I'd tried to load it up, some of the online challenges wouldn't load. Just sits on the loading screen with no activity.

Wow nice run. I play 3rd person. I don't know, I like staring at my car. Maybe that's why I'm not super great?

I used cockpit view all the time in GT5, and then I started to play competitively in GT6 and found out I needed to see as much road as possible so I switched to bumper cam.

Is this video bumper cam? I see no steering wheel but you still get a rear view mirror.

I always raced bumper cam because it gave the best sensation of speed - the cars literally looked slower in the other views.

Bumper cam is the best. I wouldn't even think of cockpit view unless you have a multiple monitor setup or VR.
