what have you beat lately?
my stock 03 tl type s has 96k but still runs like champ. ive recently tucked an evo 8 and a rx8 under my belt 
but was eaten by an old school m5.
how is everyone else doing on the streets???

I beat a late 90's model Grand Am or Grand Prix or whatever (everything made by GM in the 80's looks the same to me). I didn't even consider it worth posting as an individual topic, so I'm dropping the story in this thread.

As hard as he tried to pull away he couldn't get more than a half a car length on me while I was STILL in first gear. Meanwhile, the poor bastard thought he had me. Then I shifted into second and it was over.

I don't think a friendly run on a lonely street that you are familiar with is a bad thing or should be presumed as a 16 year old driver in the seat. I do have allot more to loose now-a-days and more responsibility but why buy a car close to 300 horses, modify it then never really open it up? I understand the dangers of the road so please don’t lecture me but it is nice to have a little fun from time to time.

How is a CLS that is running down a SRT-4 in the lead? Running down means comming from behind? Does it not? Sounds like the SRT-4 was running down the CLS.
Your stock 03 TLS would not "murderize" a SRT-4 on the highway. They only weigh 2900 lbs, and have a lot more power and a lot more TQ to the wheels.
You might get one off the line, but on the highway, nah.

I lined up with a geo metro and reved on him in drive, the light turned green he took off while my car slipped and redlined. Finnaly I just got out and pushed it out of traffic... so lately I havent beat anything the only thing getting beat is my wallet and time.

I dont mind, but I wont name them all, too many:
To name a few, bigger than stock turbo, walboro 255, bigger than stock injectors, greddy profec b, NOS sticker, vtec stickers, Greddy FMIC, EVO 8 rims, Hancook 235 45 17's, a lotta pretty gauges and more.

im not saying the guys lying or not but i just wanted to clarify something. just because its an eclipse doesnt mean it cant beat any of those cars. its whats under the hood that counts. where i live theres a guy with a civic thats beating bikes so what kind of car doesnt always mean anything.

With a built K24 you should have no problem taking Z06s, unless you A) cant drive or B) trying to race above 100mph.
Eclipses can be fast when built properly. BTW, he never specified if it was a C6 Z06 or what. I beat a C5 automatic convertible Z06, but theyre not fast at all. A C6 Z06 would rip me a new asshole.

my friend has a nice set up on his gsx
and he's a great drive and he took me of the start for about 40 feet and i dusted him with my hatch
Its kinda weird a 95 gs would beat all those cars

Just because its a GS doesnt mean anything (and gurlblu never said what model it is, unless I missed it). My Civic is a DX. But it has 4x the motor the Si of the same generation did.

To say "no Eclipse can ever beat a Z06" is stupid. I've seen plenty of 10 second eclipse's, thats fast enough to beat almost ANY factory car! And I mean ANY factory car.
Besides the launch what diff would it make it it was a GSX or not????? Oh, Just because its AWD that makes it faster?
And the C6 Z06 is my favorite car off all time.

The 4G63T in that eclipse has far more potential than a J32A2. There is probably more aftermarket support for the 4g63t than any other engine from Japan. Ever!
