damn, he got the ak, but he didn't just walk on it!

h22s are fast man, especially in the light ass prelude or old ass accord. The TL could be a Premium.

I raced my buddies SH Lude when I was a stock CL-P and he outran me about light that.

interesting, i just did not expect that I was under the impresion the weight diff VS TQ edge we have will definately compensate.

You can tell it was an auto by the Tach. It has all the auto positions. It does look like the Type S. But I've never seen the inside of a TLP or CL-P.

kind of hard to believe but if i lost to that POS i wouldnt care because at the end of the day he parks a "flat black"/primer 91 accord and i park an ak

sounds like a cop-out.

it was a good race. but the weight difference definitley kicks in. and the accord is nice. but the exhaust needs to go

it may not have, I dunno. But those older accords weigh like 25xx compared to our 34xx

plus the accord has smaller wheels, so say the TL in the vid has 18s or 19s, accord will gain a smidge from the GUN, especially since no wheel spin...

Couple of things to point out here:

-That TL/CL was definately stock. You could barely hear it. You can tell if our cars have CAI or any exhaust work
-The accord downshifted where as the TL/CL did not...you can hear this
-Look at the TL/CL RPM gauge at the end...he wasn't even getting on it all the way...not even near VTEC(as you can hear and see)
-Accord has weight advantage...for about every 100lbs extra is generally 7hp(not not to the wheels)
-I wouldn't be suprised if that accord was gutted...they r obviously going for performance judging by the engine swap and it sounded like it had full exhaust and headers

This video definately seems fishy to me.

a fast POS. Meaning that instead of investing money in an old car I would buy a newer car and keep it stock

good race.

i prefer CB accords more than newer acuras (especially prefer there owners compared to newer acura egos) but the styling on that CB isnt my cup of tea.

word, and trying to justify that by saying "o well its a piece of shit and my car is still hotter at the end of the day" is weak.

After all attempts were exhausted the fox proceeded to say that the grape was sour and that is why he no longer wanted it.

At the end of the day... that was a video of a race. When you're make a hating comment please let it be as a response of a who has "higher temp heated seat" video.

To those who give the guy props thanks for being truthful and playing it fair.

I have raced TLs and the outcome has come out similar. Nothing against any Acura but maybe the weight ratio has something to do with it. Also the H22 should not be undermined because it is a great engine.

Couple of things to note myself:
-the rpm gauge at the end was low because he slowed down as the race was over
-those accords aren't as light as you think. my dad has one that was my first car and i toyed with that thing to no end. it was like 2800 to 3100 lbs, close to my CL.
-I highly doubt that accord is gutted, my friend has a 4 door cb7 accord with a jdm H22 motor in it and he's pulled on 6 cyl accords and others before, it looked very similar to the race posted
- I myself raced an 03 TL-S on the Jersey Turnpike and i took him by at least 2 cars. (And yes, he was definitely racing, he initiated it and i could hear his intake, and yes it was a TL-S. ) I've also raced an 04 TL 6speed, and it was a closer race but i beat him too.

So what would your excuse be if u lost to me and i have full leather interior, wood trim, etc etc? Like the rest said, H motors are very capable, don't sleep on em.

no prob. my old car was an accord with an h22, i/h/e no cat, and other mods as well. my cl-p with just bolt-ons and a 6spd swap would handle it. i do miss my accord tho...that car had the smoothest steering and was about an inch off the ground. scraped everywhere

lol..i got to school with a whole bunch of car people, so we meet up and race all the time, or race on the way home and whatnot. I do get a lot of races though lol.

We actually raced tonight too, i ran an 03 1.8T vw golf with a turbo-back exhaust, huge front mount, stage 2 APR map, etc etc, and my front bumper was at his back bumper on 2 runs from 40 to 120, and i won the 60 to 120 run by a hair somehow. Also ran an 07 civic SI with a greddy catback and an intake and i beat him by 2 and a 1/2 cars.

GrandInter10, you really think ur CL-P with bolt-ons would take an H22? Damn, i have got to find a 2nd gen CL to line it up with to see for myself, cuz i haven't had any issues taking down most bolt-on V6's.

guess so brotha. cuz my accord pulled quite nicely but i dont think it could outdo my CL. at least not the way i had it. if i had gone FI on it then def. no contest. but ehh, it was time for change.

You would really have to see it in action yourself. You can't compare because the tqr car would seem to be faster but that could be tricky.

Heres a comparison. You s/c or a turbo H22?

Completely agree with that. I can't feel the speed of my car at all when i drive it, and my boy with the 07 SI's car felt faster than mine when i rode in it. Sounded better too, being that he has a greddy cat back and i have 3 exhaust leaks lol. But when we lined it up...i put cars on him.

Matt, you're not gonna believe this but...i got another run in today w/another car on the way home from school lol.
