What Could Happen To Your Car When You Use Valet Parking!
I know some valets get a little careless parking the cars, but these valets need to be arrested for abusing their customer's cars!
From the parking garage of Hyatt Hotel in downtown St. Louis, MO: 3G WDP TL 23 seconds into the video.

Slow day at work for me...Hopefully nobody stayed at the Hyatt in the past year in St Louis and used Valet.
St. Louis Valets Abuse Hotel Guests' Cars, Post Videos To YouTube
Dozens of videos were posted on YouTube this year showing a valet at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown St. Louis doing donuts, peeling out, burning out, revving engines and spinning tires in expensive cars. You know, being normal valets.
Someone calling himself "valet underground" posted dozens of videos on YouTube, showing fancy cars being driven to the extreme in a parking garage about six months to a year ago.
The general manager of the Hyatt hotel in downtown St. Louis confirms it happened in his garage and according to the local Fox affiliate, tire marks are still visible on the pavement. He says the Hyatt fired this valet company, which has been identified as AAA Valet, from Atlanta, Gerogia, before he even knew of the video. He says the hotel replaced them with a St. Louis based valet company, and once he saw the video, he called AAA Valet to alert them to their employees' conduct.
Although the videos showing the parking garage antics were removed from YouTube Tuesday night, we've got a compilation of the videos here.

Ugh... I used to valet actually and I never mistreated anyone's car. The cars went from the driveway of the catering hall to the lot and the keys went on the rack. This type of stuff isn't surprising though. A lot of my coworkers were sketchy to say the least.
This is why I wish aftermarket alarms had a "limp" mode programmed in similar to what some piggyback/aftermarket ecus have. There is one company out there that provides ecu's for audis that can put it into a limp mode where it won't boost or go over 3k rpm (fuel/spark cut). Very handy for times when you have no choice but to valet your car.
On an aside the best bet is to tell the attendant that you may need to leave early and with short notice and ask if you can park your car near the front of the lot yourself and take the keys. Toss the guy a couple bucks and I'm sure they'll oblige.

Damn, that's why the only time I valet is when they leave my car up front on the curb so I can see it.
In college, bunch of college guys I knew worked for a downtown valet service and they would always come back with "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" valet parking horror stories of how they were racing the cars they were supposed to be valeting.

It hurts to watch those cars being abused like that!

The complete video is here:

I would be pretty pissed if I am the owner of one of those cars. That TL in the video had custom wheels. I wonder if the owner is a member here.

FNN had the owner of the vette on earlier today. I think he said he had a sputtering engine after thier antics and had to change spark plugs.

this is no surprise. my friend is a valet at a club and he tells me some disturbing things that happens. like some guys would grind the gears on purpose and steal money etc. maybe this only happens in big cities like chicago. anyways that's why i never ever valet my car. but those guys are some good drivers to be drifting like that in such a tight area.

Another option is to just tell them to park it up front and request your keys back. If they have an issue with that raise hell. Most if not all of these companies are contracted out by the event holder so a simple conversation with the catering hall/club manager will always fix things. Another trick is to say you carry a gun and can't legally leave the keys with them. While not everyone is a crook or a scumbag.. there are enough people out there who don't care about your stuff to warrant these measures.

I had to use a Valet at the hospital the other day, the kid goes to get my car, which was only like 200 feet away and he still chirps the tires right in front of me. I was so surprised, I just got in my car and drove off, I couldn't even think of what to say.

My car has never seen a valet, nor will it ever. I once caught the attendant at the Acura dealership beating on another person's car... He's no longer an employee there.

I think in the complete version of the video, a 3G TL is shown around 23 seconds into the clip.
But maybe in the off topic section more people will be aware of the danger and avoid valet parking if at all possible!
I mean the nerve of these valets. Apparently according to one of the car's owners that was shown in the video, the valet was pretending to be admiring his car when he went to pick it up!
They have absolutely no respect for other people's property!
