hmmm parting out your TL you say.... I live in CA but am currently working in Raleigh on the weekdays.. what parts you got left?!? Maybe I can drive out and pick some up! Interested to see if I can carry on 18x8.5 A Specs on the plane
Congrats on the car Tyler! Definitely a dream progression for me too (TL to S2K).. let's see what happens.

dayummm man........ jealous! congrats!!!!
I've always wanted a S2K...... someday.... I hope...... Gotta finish college first and work on getting me and the misses a house LOL.
Before I registered as a member on Azine, I would always look at your TL and be like fuuuck I NEED a WDP! There was just something about it! But I couldn't find one for the life of me and had to get a RBP, its grown on me and treated me nicely so far though!

Before I bought my WDP, I test drove a RBP and nearly bought it. Coming from an ABP CL-S I wanted to stick with blue, but the WDP was a better price with lower mileage. I hated having a white car
As for the S2000 so far, it's a blast. Only averaging about 23mpg but I didn't buy it for economy runs. I'm getting more confident the more I drive it, but still struggle now and then. The sound system is dreadful, everything becomes distorted at high volumes. Eventually I'll buy a new headunit with BT and an iPod hookup so I'm not stuck listening to the horrid radio or the same CD over and over
It'll be hard for many of you to believe, but I haven't taken any more photos of it. I'm either off of work too late or the car is dirty. Here's another interior shot to hold everyone over for a bit longer.
I drove the TL to work today and was bored the whole way

I typically average 24-25mpg and my commute is quite literally 70% highway 30% street. I've noticed 75-80mph eats up gas quickly because you're sitting at or above 4k the entire time. Much different than my old CLS6, 6th gear put it at around 2700 at that speed and despite being a 3.2L engine .. it did better on economy runs.
If I were to guess, 55-65mph is the sweet spot for economy runs ... but who the hell does that?

What's funny is, the S2000 isn't really known for being great on fuel economy despite having such a small engine. 23mpg sounds about right for a first time owner in the early stages .

Pretty sure my fuel economy for the first tank was like 14mpg.

Your TL will be missed but the S2000 is a worthy replacement! Enjoy it in good health.

Thank you sir! I finished college nearly two years ago and bought a house in March...everything happens as it should; don't rush it!

Not quite two weeks since I picked it up and have racked up about 600 miles. I've never had so much damn fun with a car. The only compliant I have is that the radio is horrible. If it weren't for having so many ongoing house projects, I would replace the headunit and speakers tomorrow.

I was playing with a gray S2000 on the freeway today. He was behind me entering it and on my arse. I went WOT and, well, sorry, he went bye bye, but I did get off of it to let him do a ricer flyby. Now granted it was a completely straight stretch of road though, but curves are for woosies anyway.

No, I couldn't pass him! It was at the very fast track. Was super fun to catch up to SRT8 through the turns and he rocketed away every time we got to the straightaways. hahaha That was a fun session.

Thanks Craig! The engine does sound absolutely glorious, however, I try not to drain the gas tank too quickly
Thank you Ryan! Truly appreciated sir
The VTEC crossover is insane. I do it many times throughout the day.

Remember how I said I was going to wait to buy audio equipment? Well...I got a promotion today and decided to treat myself. Just a headunit for now but the Bluetooth audio streaming alone will be a substantial upgrade compared to what the car currently has. Link is below:
Alpine CDE-HD149BT CD receiver at Crutchfield.com
So between buying a house in March, buying the S2000 earlier this month, a job promotion today, and a wedding in October, 2015 is one hell of a year

I don't consider it a fast car, just "quick". It's faster than my TL so I have no complaints
Never?! Holy crap. I'll let you drive it. It's a fuggin blast.

I recently met up with Gus (04WDPsedan) and his fiancee while they were in the area on vacation. Their Optima is gorgeous in person!
I have moments of being OCD, so this had to be changed:
All it needed was some love from a microfiber towel:
I ordered this Covercraft sunshade before I even bought the car I had one in my TL and highly recommend it!
Also, I finally replaced the horrid headunit with a Alpine Bluetooth unit (CDE-HD149BT). Streaming from my phone is fantastic!
The speakers still sound like pure shit at high volumes, even with the bass at lowest the setting. I hope to have those replaced sooner than later, along with adding much needed window tint.

Slow deliberate upgrades, I like that approach, it gives you time to really think about what you want or don't.
I probably would have bought your wooden engine covers! Always thought they were cool.

The new headunit is fantastic. I had the same CD in the car for 3 weeks and started to go crazy And their Optima was stunning in person! Pictures do it no justice.
Daniel in Greensboro got the engine covers. I got them for free so I extended that courtesy to him as well. He picked up my RV6 Strut Bar for $80 too! I wanted to keep everything local and that's how it ended up! I would have loved to see those covers on your NBP though
