That diffuser makes a big difference in the looks of the bumper. Nice addition.

I finally bit the bullet and decided on some vinyl graphics. I decided against the huge rear fender hockey stripes and went with Daytona inspired stripes and hood graphic but with a slight custom touch. Both will look similar to the Daytona graphics but won't say Daytona anywhere on them so people don't think I'm posing it as one.

Before they arrive I blacked out my grill and spoiler to keep with the Daytona theme. This was my first time using Plasti-Dip and I have to say the stuff is pretty amazing. I documented the process so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

This is what the OEM Daytona graphics look like:

Looks great! However my experience with plastic dip I would not have did that on those parts. High wear unless it's a garage queen.

True, I was bored and plasti dipped my aluminum macbook and while it looked great, it quickly wore aware where I touched the cover opening and closing it.

Thanks. I'm blacking out the trunk though so I'm not sure how that'd look.

Interesting. Well I read a lot about how long it lasts and some people had it last years, so I'm hoping since I don't drive it on a daily basis since I work from home maybe it'll last a good bit, but if it doesn't ill just peel it off and actually paint it them or have them wrapped.

My grill has been plastidipped for almost 3 years and the only issue I've had is bugs getting splattered and drying on the finish, making it nearly impossible to get them off without removing the plastidip.

Well that's sorta promising lol. I figured the same since the finish is flat, so I wonder if those who's are holding up after a few years with no imperfections are using a clear coat over it? I read you can do that but I wanted it to have a flat black look so a clear would likely give it some shine. We'll see how long it holds up as-is.

Well after a few failed attempts at installing my new graphics, I finally got them all to where I'm extremely happy with the results. Big thanks to Pro Motor Stripes (seller on EBay) for creating the custom hood graphic exactly how I designed it.

Thanks TT. It was the first time I've done it myself. I've laid down adhesive backed vinyl on poster board before, but never on a car, but they came with super detailed instructions and baring a few issues due to being a rookie at it, overall it was pretty easy considering.

Some small mods I've done lately. The one you can't see is a TranZformer electronic shift kit, which makes the shifting so much more aggressive. The others...

Petty's Garage Strut Tower Brace

Hurst Comp Stick Kit

Thanks dude. I was never a huge fan of the body lines either. When it first came out in '06 any 4 door was ugly to me since we didn't have kids, but now that I need a 4 door I'm obviously more accepting of the style. But yeah, the color makes this car stand out. Glad you enjoy the pics!

So far, yes. I was really surprised by how big the filter was. It's hard to hear, though, since you have to get the RPMs up to do it and I'm usually stuck in traffic. But on the rare opportunities to open it up, I love it! Gas mileage has already dropped .

Nice. Did you feel a major difference with your strut tower brace? I'm thinking about getting one for the trunk.

Nice upgrades...does the Tranzformers work in tandem with the tuner?

Cool, glad you like it. Once you get a tuner you'll like it even better. And yeah the filter is huge! I had read that about it but was shocked too when I saw it in person. That sounds a little weird lol. But yeah, expect those MPG to go down with each mod.

Thanks. Major difference? No, but I wasn't it expecting to since most threads I read debated whether it was truly needed on the LX platform. To me it does feel a bit more planted in the front taking corners but that might be the placebo effect, not sure. I'm debating if a rear one is worth it. Eventually I want to upgrade the sways and long term go with Pro-Kit springs and struts to finish out the suspension mods.

Thank you sir. I was told you don't have to change the firmer shift settings on the Predator and it'll make it that much better, which it does, but I still have to play with the settings. Right now there's a little too much firmness after I messed around with the scaling and firmness percentage, both on upshifts and downshifts. The weird thing is I was able to chirp 2nd in Autostick without the TranZformer in, but now with it I haven't been able to do that even though the shifts definitely feel much firmer. I wish there were better instructions or threads out there with info on exact settings but there aren't. It's going to be a learning curve to find the best combo.

Damn you, you let the cat out of the bag, T! Guess I can't surprise you when I do the blowfish shot with a beautifully groomed mullet flowing in the wind. Shucks. But hey, when in Rome, right?
