It definitely does, T. Coupled with the tune it feels like a completely different car under WOT. Pulls much harder and sounds better, too.

Thanks! I'm thinking the blue will be a theme.

Thanks! I thought about the dry filter too but decided on the oiled because its the best flowing and oiling it every 30k miles won't be too bad. Plus I knew the blue would look cool lol.

Paging Sarlacc. Ding ding. Paging Sarlacc.

Talk to me about putting 6.4L headers on my 5.7L. I'm seeing so many mixed-matched facts that I can't figure out if they'll bolt-on or not. I know something has to be notched on the header flange for the EGR but some say they'll bolt to the R/T mids others say no.

What say you sir?

What little I have read said they do bolt on...but I also dont know what if any small changes have been made to the 5.7 in your car vs the 5.7 in mine. I do know my piston heads are a bit beefier.

Honestly, if you can find a set of 6.1, you'll be good.

^ Thanks for the info hombre. I decided to wait on headers all together until after I do a few other mods first.

Shame headers are useless on the 6.1. Well unless you get supporting mods anyway. (ported heads/intake)

I went with a Billet Technology. I like the color and bracket options they offer. In the grand scheme of OCCs it was reasonably priced.

Not really a shame since you automatically get great flowing headers from the factory. Now the 5.7 stock headers are another story.

Had the car all cleaned up for a local MOPAR meet yesterday, so I figured I'd shoot some photos today before it gets dirty again.

And a few shots from the meet...

Thoughts on possible graphic treatment? This would be with lowering springs as well.

I've always been a fan of the hockey stripes.

I had considered them for the challenger before going aar strobe style.

I like them, too. I wasn't sure if black would be too subtle verses white, but I kind of like subtle.

That's true, but black is a subtle base color, so yours looks right with a little pop of purple.

Thanks mang. It's called Deep Water Blue Pearl. From my understanding they don't make the color anymore due to the tsunami that hit Japan.

Lol well it's subtle compared to white or silver, but in general you're right, there's nothing subtle about muscle car graphics themselves. My wife had a similar reaction when I showed her the rendering. You women just don't get it.

I'd say possibly on a side graphic, but definitely not the trunk. Honestly, the paint and color is so nice, I wouldn't want to cover it up.

Meh to each their own. Not a fan of the thin full length stripes. That car's sick otherwise, no doubt.
