Sooo...Suburban needs new shoes and socks...

I've been preparing to do some serious work to my '55, basically a full revamp...bag it, new wheels, new interior, eventually swap over to an LS.

The shop I have lined up to bag it can't take on the job till the fall. That puts me at doing wheels right now (which may eventually lead me to not bagging it if it sits right).

My current wheels are 20 years old and seriously out of whack (2 bent, 1 not round, etc).

Soooo....i'm going to go with an 18x8 up front and either a 20x10 or 12 or 22x10/12 in the rear. Probably leaning towards 20.

Here is where my head has gone, and it's been the same few sets on my mind for the last 10 years.

I really am leaning towards #1, or #2 with maybe a light grey center and chrome spinner cap. I just can't narrow it down. Looking for some opinions.

some on car pictures of both:

that's what i'm leaning towards. I'm trying to get the specs of the set in that picture...can't tell if the rears are 20's or 22's...and how wide and how much lip i'd be able to pull off.

Funny, I just realized I did this same thread like 4 years ago...everyone said #2 Glad you guys are catching up cause i've always really leaned towards #1

btw, trying to figure out if I can put a spinner cap on option 1. I think that'd set them off. At least on the rear wheel.

I love #1. To me it's got an almost modern looking Halibrand look to it. Very, very nice!

and now I realize I fucked up. When I originally did #1, I thought I was doing this wheel...as that's what's on the truck I posted:

I'm thinking the open part on this isn't enough now that i'm looking at it

#1 looks better to me because the rim looks wider.

this may actually be the pick, it's a brushed version vs highly polished:

Those aren't terrible either.

I just really hate that sewer cover design from which smaller cut outs.

This design works...just with the chrome/high polished looked. Don't love it as only brushed aluminum.
