but yeah, I was at the GM checking out a white G8 GXP MT and it was like 6-7K off the MSRP and I was tempted having test driven one already and I wish I would have...I would still have the interior IN the TL LOL...

Huh, idk why, but I always thought they only came with ATs. Even more awesome, but I'm guessing super rare.

SimonCL-S6, just because you can't afford a 2009 Pontiac doesn't mean you have to pretend to hate it. We all want things we can't really afford.

Well look it up guys they were sold for 38k msrp and with deep discount they still want atleast 30k for clean one with low miles. I really want a 6mt but being my daily driver it when it come to fuel economy 25mpg hwy for my GT vs I think 18MPG for 6MT GXP it was no brainer for me. Overall its great bung for a buck and I dont regret my decision. Its a hell of a car for money. Its roomy sporty fun to drive and with few cheap mods you can wake up the monester inside of it

Nope not yet and I won't buy them before I make up my mind what to do with the car because I started to miss the stick shift again... I would love to get my hands on gxp 6mt but they seem to be way to expensive right now. It would cost me almost same amount of money to do the swap with new oem parts

^ Lame.

J/K, I miss shifting gears every once in a while too, but at least sport shift is somewhat entertaining at times. My plan is to get a weekend manual something or other someday to fix that urge.

we have a rav4 4cyl and it's been great so far, but we'll be having 3 kids eventually. it's either going to be a minivan or i was looking at the hylander hybrid. we
do mostly city driving so it's great on gas and has a split folding 3rd row.
good luck

I can't believe I missed that this was for sale.

Oh well, family first. I totally understand, at least you had your fun, it looks fabulous, and you're offering a decent price for it.

The G8 can fit a car seat and that trunk is big enough for a stroller.

Tell your wife to stop ruining your fun!

Golf GTI
Speed3
Civic Si
WRX/STi
Slightly used TSX.

I have the TSX and a friend of mine just got the new Mazda 6. Both are pretty similar, the Mazda 6 has more/better tech, but the TSX is more fun to drive. The base version of the Mazda 6 is 21-22k, which is a steal IMO.

i can't imagine the pain he has to go through (Power wise) from G8 to Si or TSX.

When I was looking for a car, I too desired 30 mpg combined. That eliminates a lot of options though. Check fuelly.com

Well it said he's looking for 30mpg, and I don't really know of anything with ~400hp and 30mpg. He's also loosing about 500-600lbs (~4,000 vs 3400-3500), but ya still doesn't make up for the lost hp. Power wasn't a huge deal for me (only drive 6-7 miles, 70% city, 30% twisty roads), but if you do highway driving it can be an issue. Pretty much all the cars listed have around the same hp (+-30-50). If he's looking for more power then the WRX/Speed3/STi/V6 TSX have 280-300hp but will give up creature comforts/mpg and will be on the higher end of the price. Also, said he was looking at manual, and Honda/Acura has one of the best shifters in the biz.

Also depends on how you drive I guess, I don't get much more then 13-14mpg in my tsx

How do you only get 13-14mpg in a TSX? You must floor it at every opportunity and only drive city.

well i do enjoy the power but i am busy man i dont have time to work on the cars anymore i need something troublefree fun to drive and will give me good gas milage... i didnt want to buy a new car i never thought i would but it looks like its really good option right now... 400hp you dont use it everyday its nice to step on it once in a while but really there is no place in my area to put that power to use. i do 70% highway and i need something fun that will get me into 30mpg. i drive alot and filling up twice a week 20galons is not fun anymore. 15MPG avg not good. my car has already 90k miles and i need to let it go. down the road i will get a weekend car but i think as a daily fiesta st will do just great.

this week im going to test drive Mazda 6 6MT (if they had diesel or wagon already it would be my first choice)
Honda Accord Sport 6MT
VW GTI 6MT
Focus ST and Fiesta ST again

Civic Si or used TSX are in the price zone of Honda Accord which i think looks the best out of them and it would be best choice.

thing with Honda and Mazda im affraid i will get bored with it too soon.

Speed3/WRX/STI Gas milage sucks i think even Focus ST isnt that good on GAS and its little tank makes it even more annoying

It sounds like a pre-owned Civic Si might be right up your alley. 30 mpg, 6 speed manual, reliable, fun, sounds like an F1 car at 7k RPM, comes in 2 or 4 door configuration. Seem to check all the boxes.

I've had to ponder what I'd do if I had to get a new job with a long commute. I'm not sure if I'd keep the Charger or not. I'd either look at a pre-owned Si or the new GTI.

i've been trying to locate Accord Sport 6MT for a test drive for couple days already. Paragon Honda is forcing me to give them a deposit or placing order on one to have it for test drive and i hate that kind of play. According to salesman 6MT will be discountinued and its special order only which i cant believe its true. WORSE PART ABOUT BUYING NEW CAR IS DEALING WITH THIS DOUCHE BAGS !!

tell them it is an ACCORD, not an enzo.

i don't believe there is no other dealers in NYC within drivable distance that has a 6mt in stock.

Contact Honda City. They're in Levittown. My family has purchased cars from them and love that place. Very little pressure from the sales people.

I know its a bit of a drive from home but you still work in Farmingdale, right? Hit them up on the way home.
