I'm also late to thread. Congrats on the new Durango. I am pleased with the new Chrysler/Fiat vehicles, especially the Dodge/Jeep lineup. Extremely nice vehicles. I'm a big fan of the JGC, especially in SRT form.

I seriously wanted the Jeep Cherokee, but my wife vetoed that in favor of the Subaru.

Were you selling the Challenger anyhow?
Nope so you have only a pretext.
I love ESP, but given your mistake I really think that you need THIS. Hopefully your Durango has it.

I love the Durango!!!! Great Truck. I'm trying to convince my mom to get one soon. It would probably also be the R/T. I do love the new FCG products. My 2015 200 is great!
As many are asking, I can also answer, I do miss a physical shifter but the rotary is also nice. It's a bit small to rest my whole hand but i can easily fit a few fingers on it. It does take some getting used to, though. I'm not sure if the durango has it, but in my 200 I can press it down and move it the right to put it into sport mode. I love playing with it by pushing it down, lol. It just pops up when I let go. Great fun. Some times, I use the paddles, but they tend to lag a bit in my 200. I find that the transmission shifts much better by itself, especially going from 9 to 4 or 5 to pass on the highway (lol).
The durango has an 8 speed (same unit in the JGC), right? How is the tranny in the durango, does it shift smooth or have any quirks?
My favorite Mopar dealer is also 45 minutes away...despite there being 5 closer dealers, they give the best service and prices.
On your nice screen, is it like the higher or lower model JGC? I know the higher ones (Overland) has a screen where you could see the steering wheel angle and a bunch of other shit in addition to the great screen in all the others.

Just noticed you get a direction in the speedometer. That's awesome.

Yes the Durango has the same 8spd. It works well, smooth shifts (the 9spd in our Cherokee is a bit rough 2-3-4) Doesn't seem to need to search for the gear it needs. Moving to sport shift, the shifts are pretty precise and quick.
My rotary knob is not a button. To enter sport shift I simply use the paddles. When I want to go back to full auto, I just hold down the paddle and it changes over quickly. Actually nice, quick, and intuitive.
I haven't been in an overland to compare. Its a 7" screen in the gauge cluster and it has the usual info...same stuff as my wife's Cherokee...except the Cherokee gives a couple more areas to display additional info.

Very cool! Post some pics once they're installed. I swear I get as many kudos on the RECARO child seats as I do anything else lol.

It does have flecks of pearl. So, did my Challenger and so does my Cherokee.
Brilliant Black Pearl, is a pearl black
Pitch Black is flat back
Phantom Black Tri-Coat has like a gold pearl in it, I think. Ive only seen pictures of it.

Ah...thought Brilliant Black became Pitch Black as the standard black and Phantom Black was the pearl. There was a Phantom Black Charger available when I got mine, but I preferred the Pitch Black as it appeared darker (the pearl on the Phantom was very reflective).

For the Challengers and Chargers, I believe this is true. But the other models still have brilliant black.

you probably already know but keep an eye out for grease on your wheels, could be defective shocks/struts.

I've only filled up once, so not enough data to really calculate, plus the engine is still breaking in. But the computer has been pretty consistent in telling my avg so far is 13.5mpg. Majority city driving at the moment.
