I have been waiting to see this thread for a while now. Congrats man!

at wife's impressions and I can't wait to hear yours.

Looks nice and shiny. I can see you need a new factory front splitter for it.

Thanks Jason...
yes sir...I do! Astute eye...I fixed it, and cleaned it...but the lady must have parked on the stop over and over again and ate up the inner edge on both sides.
I'm having a hard time finding the part number..is that all one piece? How much could that piece of plastic possibly be?!?!

I need wiper blades too...trying to find the sizes...I think it's 22", 21", and 13" R...probably go bosch icons or refills.

I want all weather mats, I wonder if the cts regular ones I see on ebay are the right ones...affordable!

Springs, spacers...all of the things!!!

I appreciate all your guidance and opinions...we'll definitely be chatting it up!

So all three peices of the bottom lip come in one package even though they are sperate pieces. You can't buy them seperately. I bought a new set when I got mine and I think it was like $85 shipped to my door.

Take pictures of your wiper blades. If they still have the original blades with the little spoilers on them I would just get inserts. If they were already fully replaced once then just get some icons or you can get a pair of OEM wipers with the little spoiler on them for like $50 for the pair on ebay. I am considering getting a set of them as well since mine the previous owner replaced the entire thing.

If you get factory alweather mats you need to get the ones for the AWD wagon as it has the same larger transmission tunnel. If you get regular CTS ones they won't fit on the passenger side correctly.

Springs and spacers definitely help the look of this car for sure. I hope to get to that sometime before next spring, pun intended.

No problem. Any time.

Just looked up my order for the front spoiler from December and the part # is GM1044116. I got mine from Rock Auto and it was 77.79 and it is still showing at that price on their site. I think I had it with in 7 days at most. Don't midn the picture it is just a generic image.

^ Hey, he's the one that said he wanted them.

Plus, they're awesome for rain, which Florida gets a lot of! It's the only reason I use all-weather mats in NC...

Gdang, Jason...you are the effing MAN. Thanks very much, I'll go inserts, they are the oem ones with the wing for 200MPH.
I'll be ordering that thing today!

I have not sold anything yet...I'll take my time to sell it...I hate to let it go, but I can't keep them all and the S2000 ain't going anywhere.
It's an auto...wife wanted 2 cars in our house we can both drive, Sofla traffic is annoying with stick, and I got a good enough deal on the wagon to make it worth getting it in auto and black (which I'd sworn off after the NBP).

I want!
Thanks DC...I appreciate it, man...arrived yesterday. Transport seemed like they were in a rush to get the fk out of there...got me to sign off and left. Well, washing the car I noticed to dings on the roof line...checked with previous owner and they must have touched the ramps on it. Overall, very clean though...wheels could use some love and refinishing but it's a 3 year old awesome car that looks great overall!

I definitely will take you up on the mats...maybe even that missing parts airraid if you don't end up including it with your car sale!
I'm gonna take my time with this one...some eibachs...some spacers...some tint and just enjoy an unfuked with car.

his a baller alright! 2 nice cars in one year!

J - one thing i don't get you flew to Ohio or wherever that was to drive back the TL-S but yet you trusted a trucking company to haul your V? I would never trust a trucking company to haul a nice car, never! I knew a few people that haul them and the stuff that happens in between is crazy!

I've never heard horror stories. There are a couple forum members who do it. JB had his CTS-V trucked from SF Cali to North Carolina.

Some of my dads co workers have had their classics shipped from the east to California. No horror stories.

LOL...V will replace the TL-S. I needed something less modified that my wife could drive too. S2000 has to stay, for obvious reasons.
Yeah, well, tickets to Oklahoma were $400...plus gas...would have cost me more plus the liability of driving unregistered...having it dropped off at my doorstep seemed like a good option, especially since that transport was recommended by my seller. He's pissed off...it's not major, you really wouldn't see it unless you're looking...just makes me mad that they tried to hide it instead of owning up.

Good thing the damage was minor but the sad thing is a lot of these trucking companies are very shady when it comes to damages, trust me i've seen it with my own eyes.

Sam! It's probably gonna be my MOST OEM car ever!

Yeah Jake...tell me about it, man...but seriously, it would have cost me MORE. I mean in hindsight, I wish I had...also, shipping company's "additional" coverage was pretty ridiculously priced so I relied on my full coverage insurance for a safe trip down. I'm sure they didn't mean to do it, but it sucks. It's not a big deal, honestly. I thought previous owner maybe forgot he took a piece a plywood home on it one day

I called him to ask and he was fkng pissed...he's like that's some bullshit, I use them all the time and I recommended them to you...he says he'll start a convo with them about rectifying it once I get him better pictures. It'll all get resolved. I have a clean carfax on her so I'd like to keep it that way.

Okay, I have a few minutes now...
well, I will tell you guys. It feels like a fkng tank. Which is what I wanted. I solid Cadillac that drives like one.
Now, that said...

The car is fucking fast. It really is. I mean, if you've been in a 10 second car...it's all relative and it's not that fast, but it's the fastest I've owned. It'll feel more worthwhile getting 15mpg in this thing than the city mileage I get in my S2000 though

Steering is tight...has a decently heavy feel to it...there are more adjustments and gadgets than I know what to do with.

Sound system is perfect...it needs nothing, really but I will probably find a home for that JL just to give it a little more depth (one does not wagon without a real sub).

Seats...well, best of the best so you always want the recaro's right? Which kinda makes you feel like if you "settle" for the stock option, they are a piece of shit. Not the case at all...they're well constructed, hold you in very well without pinching those pesky love handles...and look VERY high end with the suede inserts. My steering wheel/shifter are leather and not the alcantara, but from what I've read about upkeep, that might not be bad. It's not too expensive to add that down the line if I decide to.

Wheels are straight sexy and from factory she has a nice track and stance...but of course, I'll eibach and keep the magneride intact along with probably just some rear spacers. I like that wider rear look anyway. Wheel are rashed here and there so I may have them redone in a bright silver powder, or find out how much it would cost to sand and buff em back to perfection. Shoot, if that's the case, I might tape up and tackle that myself. They have some Michelin PS tires on there with plenty of chunk left. And that car needs it...I can't imagine some Sunny or Nexens on there with a 8000 treadware rating...slip and slide.

Braking utilizes all 20 pistons to bring this behemoth to a stop, especially when you get into her with only a quart mile to your turn and realize it already hit 85mph

I was very afraid of feeling like I got a smaller version of my wife's car...but alas...it's not...the extra cost of this vehicle comes across in the fit and finish as well...it feels quality, to me...some say the interior panels are dated, but in my opinion...it's a classic look and I love that. An homage to cars before they were facebook on autonomous wheels.

Transmission...well, this is probably the hardest time I had dealing with...because for so long I've preached manual. I have had almost nothing but manuals for 20 years...but in the end, my wife being able to drive it if we go somewhere cool in it and the craft beers get the best of me...being able to relax when I hit a patch of red lights...the ability to just drive and keep both hands on the wheel and not focus on smooth shifting (and that redline comes FAST in this car)...the fact that my 2 manual heros (mom and dad) both drive autos now....all led me to be okay with it. I don't need both my cars to be manuals...as long as the S2000 is there to get that feeling out of my system. Damn thing is a polar opposite of the V and it'll feel good to have each one define the qualities in the other.

Big thanks and " from the back" to JB and CCC for all their advice and answering questions. A big thanks to Majoboner as well, for finding the actual listing before I saw it...and also for making me realize that I needed to stop being car color racist. He made me realize that I do, in fact, love a black car. Nothing quite like it when it's clean and waxed although it does require a bit more effort to keep it that way. I think it's been established that I'm not lazy.

I look forward to enjoying this car...it's a grown up car that you can still have some fun in. They have stellar lines and I look forward to seeing where light modding takes me.

Looks like it will be a blast. We need smokey burnout pics, though!

Still reading the owner's manual for the smokey burnout section! From what I gather, I just press that pedal on the right and watchout for that treecurb?!?!

It's also not a Mustand so you shouldn't have any issues with crowds at car shows

I will try and help this become a false statement
