i have 80 tint on my front windshield and my wife's windshield and i can see the polarizing "streaks" on my TL but not in her honda. so i keep the polarized glasses in her car and the regular sunglasses in mine.
the angle of your windshield plays a big factor in if you can see those rainbows or not.
and regarding front tint...i absolutely love it and will have it on every car i own. you can hardly tell it's on but great reduction in heat and headlight glare!!

LED license plate bulbs. That's how it starts.

biggest problems is when you unlock or get out of the car the reverse lights come on and they are led 5K(ish) from factory...so the license plates looked out of place being yellow dim halogen. So I did that...I don't even plan to do the interior lights or anything.
About the windshield tint...I've never had it, and I've never known how great it is so I don't know I'm missing it. So I just keep on truckin!
Got the sun shade and weathertech mats on the way...super excited about that.
I'm not lying...springs, maybe spacers, eventually wheels/exhaust and intake and just rock it don't stop it.

Okay, so tackled something that's been annoying me all week...the pinstripe...I know very well that if you wait too long you'll have ghosting on the clear and a bitch of a time removing. I used a plastic razor along with a hair dryer to remove, then goofoff2 gel, then compound/polish with the pc.
Then decided that the car just needed a coating of wolfgangs. I could tell the paint was thirsty...it soaked that stuff into the black like nobody's business and boy does it look good. I also scotchbrited/sanded and polished curbing on the wheels. Not perfect but a lot less obvious.
J
Jason...I think we're splitting hairs...this is uncut sedan. The car almost DOESN'T need a drop on a wagon.
so a moderate one looks right

I might have to look into that. I have 15% on the rear and 25% on my fronts. I would love to have something on the windshield to reduce heat and maybe a little light.

We might but I just want a tiny bit more low than that. Although not sure with how much weight I occasionally carry that lower is better. How about you do springs and spacers and then make a trip to NC so I can check it out

Bruh...that's an EASY 40 hour round trip! I'll do it!
Well, honestly...the overall stance of that wagon is great...looks even and not too slammed. I'm almost thinking of not even lowering the damn thing...it looks good as is. But it'll look MEANER lower.
Bah...maybe I'll end up doing the coupe...5" cut from the front.
I feel crazy...
Yeah, the pinstripe was ugly...and the little caddy sticker was ON THERE...actually took some paint with it wish I had used the blowdryer on that.

Yeah I definitely want the meaner look for sure of it being lowered. Still can't decide though just like you. Neither will probably be wrong though in the end because it won't be as low as either of us have gone on coilovers.
Oh shit that sucks that it took some paint with it.

LOL...coils will DEFINITELY not be happening.
Firstly, they're $2300...plus you need to get something to fool the car into thinking magneride is okay or it goes limp mode.
And thirdly...you lose magneride.
Not happening.
The reverse rake happens when people don't cut the front spring. Or buy the wrong one.
I was heavily considering saving the $260 and just cutting the oem springs. There's an entire thread about it on CTV owners.
here...presumably sedan springs, with 5" cut off the front spring

J/K... we did not. I wish!
I was leaving a lot and the light up the road had just gone green. It was a good 50 yards up from where I was, but I gave it a good amount of throttle on the way out. Well, hit a wet area (it has rained earlier) and did a nice fishtail. Brought it back easy... but it was funny b/c everyone who was leaving the light stayed waaaaaaayy behind me.

E63 AMG S . Traded in the E350 this weekend. This thing is a beast... basically a race car for the road. So yes, I'll miss the CTS-V, but i may be borrowing this car to get my fix. I snapped some quick pics this weekend before the rain so will start a separate topic about it.
On a CTS-V related note... car should be getting picked up today to go off to its new owner
It was cool to have two cars with a combo of over 1100hp in the garage for 2 days though

Bird is the Word
I'm sure there is a weight/distribution difference between the sedan and wagon. I've never been a fan of cut springs, unless they're linear and it's a temporary thing until you lower it the right way. I know you don't think cutting 5'' off your springs is a good thing for the rest of your suspension just to achieve "the look." You drive an expensive car with magneride. Parts won't be the same price as they are for the TL. This is why I modded the shit out of my Ford and didn't do much to the VW.

Honestly...
if was just a matter of spending near $3K to slam the wagon...
or leaving it stock height. I'll be leaving it stock.
I don't want to be on the ground anymore and for $260 I can get a little 1" drop that'll make it look more aggressive but still not scrape or worry about fenders...
fk it..i'm into it.
Some guys are saying they have just done the coupe springs and not cut anything....and it settles to the perfect height.

Holy shats JB.. that's fucking awesome.
I'm guessing it's the late model twin turbo variety.. shiett.
They didn't bring the estate to these shores though right? too bad.
You ninny's suggesting coils > magneride need to get your heads checked.
J, the coupe springs might settle better.. but guarantee they're $$

$258 shipped from autoanything, man...I think I've decided that's what I'll do. Even the red wagon weaponx has on their site is sitting on coupe springs.
I need to start moving on parting out or selling the KBP TL though. Got all the money going out and nothing coming back in.

BTW, a lot of guys swap lids from the ZL1 charger.. ZL1 lid is a lot cheaper than the V lid..

oh...and the oem front diffuser showed up from rockauto damaged. Almost super glued it and threw it on, but nawww...fk that.
So another is on order the way.
I took that as an opportunity to look at other options...there's one that's unpainted for $100...but then I'm in with paint 200 more more...then there are the BUX CF ones for $600...
meh, I kinda like the look the oem lip has. I like the aggressive ends with nothing in the middle.
