I agree with others that the Brakemotive rotors are junk. The vibration through the steering wheel when stopping at highway speeds was driving me nuts. I went with another brand of drilled and slotted rotors and used the Wagner Thermoquiet pads and it's smooth as silk with little to no dusting. The braking experience is worlds better than the Brakemotive stuff.
Congrat's on picking up the A-spec 8.5"s. Where did you find them?

Yup, I had shuddering noises and pedal feel, but no steering wheel vibration with my brakemotive kit. I blamed it on the drilled/slotted features, but really it could have been the kit itself, not sure.
This is now my 3rd set of 18x8.5 aspecs including the ones I got from you Earl! I honestly lost count of how many 18x8 sets I've picked up over the years haha. picked theseup on Craigslist with pretty good Conti tires. I got really lucky, they're almost MINT!

Hey bro, congrats on the pick up. Also congrats on the aspecs. I finally got 3 sets myself of the 8.5"s as well. 2 of the sets I got refinished and painted. The third set, when I get some money together, I wanna get them refinished and painted white. But it's good to see you back in 3G....

Welcome back... I regret selling my Type S everyday. I have some brand new coilovers for sale in the Black Market section if you're interested. https://acurazine.com/forums/car-par...-3g-tl-932635/

welcome back buddy
I don't think I'd go back to Brakemotives - although I have no complaints.
It's just the fact people are saying they are junk that makes me consider other options

Thank you!
Not a whole lot of updates this week. I'm working on getting some new parts so I decided to delay the tint and stuff for now
Snapped this pic coming out of the driveway. I forgot how much that lower air diffusor scrapes (can't see it in the picture). I removed it on both of my previous cars because it got so annoying scraping everywhere.

yeah, if you are thinking of removing the lower air diffusers, you should drop that idea hahah LOL
its an air "dam" which pushes air up to the radiator...I saw a good 10-12 deg increase in my coolant temps after I took mine off...

Haha I left the fender rolling to an expert here in the area, this is the 4th TL I've had him do! He does good work for a good price
I have to order spacers, most likely AKATA since I like the fact they come black.
Will be dropping the car off today to a PDR guy to remove a couple door dings that have been bothering me so I'll have before and after pics of that!
Lots of parts waiting to go on!

Just picked up the car from the paintless dent repair shop. These PDR guys do amazing work. I've never had it done before, so this was a first for me. There was one large ding and one small one on the driver's front door, and one really nasty one on the rear. They're completely gone, no scratches or evidence of repair. I couldn't be happier with the results!

The pdr guy did a great on removing your dents. The previous owner was probably a woman and her high heal shoes scratched the side skirts whenever she exited the vehicle. The before pic has type s wheels and the after pic has aspecs. I'm gonna text you for the pdr guys contact info.

Thanks guys!!
Yes that side skirt is beat! Previous owner was a guy, but yeah he didn't care much about his feet hitting it Lol. I've already bought the aspec kit to take care of that.... Not that I needed an excuse lol. It's waiting to go on!
The before pic was a couple weeks ago before I got the aspecs. I threw them on the car last week!

Its coming together a lot quicker than I expected! With other expenses, I was planning on pushing mods back a bit, but I came across a few deals I couldn't pass up.
I have a set of Tein SA coils waiting to go on, as well as a USA Spec ipod input, and the Aspec sides and rear. I do have to order the front at some point as well...but my shopping list is growing so I'll have to prioritize
