God I love the S2k...

Only wish I could talk the fiancee into getting rid of the Miata so we can replace it with an S2k, though the Miata is a super rare limited edition, so it's still worth quite a bit of money right now.

let's put it this way: my mom is 56 yrs old, never had a wreck or a ticket in years and my parents have 4 cars 2 motorcycles and a motor home and my mom had a heart attack at the s2000 rates>

And Jesal, how do the rates compare to your 335i?

That's odd, I have a squeaky clean record, I went from a 2007 G35 to a 2008 S2000 and my insurance went up $63 a year

2005 with 24k miles (grey/red) for $21,000....seems too good to be true?

I compared insurance quotes...I guess you get a good discount for having a 3.0+ GPA and being a student so it comes out roughly $100 more a month than the TL They're quoting me almost $600 a month for the TL though, and we pay roughly half of that. Thats just going by eSurance though...i'll give our actual company a call tomorrow.

^ Hmm i might have to shop around then.

S2k is costing me $400 more a year than the 335.

And the S2k is listed as a pleasure car thats driven less than 7500miles a year

But I also have a couple tickets in the past 3 years.

You asked for it..

Somehow your blue interior looks much hotter than the one in this s2k that I had, though...

Seems like you caught the same virus like me. Except it took me a year and a half. You should throw a piggyback computer in there man, it'll become a little rocket. In all honesty, I already regret(kind of) getting rid of that car even though I had no choice...it's a really nice coupe.

What would you get? I still love the 335 for what it offers.

Although having two cars is really more fun. Once you get tired of one of them you can swap and drive the other for a bit. Makes you really appreciate the other for longer.

I'd be amazed if i get tired of the S2k. I dont even have an urge to mod it yet... thats a first for me.

And thats with the student discount... Thats also the best rate I could get, the rest were well over $500/m

Still cheaper than the $6,900/yr quote I got for the RSX-S and $7,900/yr quote I got for the E46 M3

So what do you think? 05' with 24k miles for 21.5?

Also, what is the average gas mileage you guys are getting in the city? I wish I could do more highway driving but driving in DC is a b*tch. Some of you NYC folks pitch in

You got your 335 in Sept 06??? But like Jesal said, it wouldn't hurt if you looked into getting the S2k as a weekend warrior.

I was an early adopter...and amazingly, still on the original fuel pump.

I like the s2k idea...i might have to think this one over. Problem is, I like having a FWD commuter car due to the crappy weather around here.
