Until the specs of the 16 TLX are released, sure I'll agree with that

I'm pretty sure Acura will have some things up for their upcoming cars. However, I really think Honda is blurring the line between them and Acura, which isn't the best move in my opinion.

No, it's not. Might as well buy a Honda now and save a few bucks.

Lexus and Toyota are no different.
Uncle bought a new Avalon and compared it to my FIL's near-new Lexus ES.
Avalon wins.

Great. More technology crammed into cars. More electronic gizmos to fail over time. More costly replacement parts. I miss 2003.

You could argue the same thing back in 2003 though. "HID Headlights, Navigation, Automatic headlights, Automatic up/down windows, Bluetooth, Backup cameras, etc." I am sure people all thought that stuff would fail overtime too, and I am sure on some cars it did.

I find it interesting that Acura released all the 2016 models between February and April...... expect the TLX. Are they going to give it everything the accord has for 2016? They should and you'd hope that's the reason for the delay.

From what I can tell it needs:
-Android Auto, and Apple Carplay
-Heated Rear Seats
-19" Rims
-Automatic High Beams

I think the Canadian models already have some of these features. We'll see if the trickle down to America models.

That Accord grill design is beginning to look more like the Acura beak/grill, doesn't it?

The reviews say the Accord is a nice car, though.

It's not uncommon for Honda to test new features in the Accord before they make their way to Acura. However I do agree the new Accord will make the current TLX a tough sell. I think LED heads/tails are a needed improvement (my '14 Accord Coupe doesn't have HIDs or LED tails and I wish it did). I could go either way with the 19" wheels, but personally they look too aftermarket for my taste.

I love my 1999 TL....hardly anything fails
I can buy a new car anytime...but the questions come up of why. I save money just by driving it.

If those are the production wheels they look great... Wouldn't mind snatching a used set for my car.

Don't want to move this b/c the timeline will throw off the other topic... but there is already discussion about the 2016 Accord in the Automotive News section of the site.
