My newest addition!!!
Pre P.S. - I still have the RDX and this makes me love it that much more!!!
I cannot believe it's been two weeks now, but here it is!!!
I'm now the owner of a 2008 Toyota Camry SE 2.4 (2AZ-FE) in Barcelona Red Pearl...
It's in nearly excellent condition with the exception of a slight tear in the armrest (new imitation leather ordered), a few tiny dings, cracked front grille (easy to change), a chip in the passenger side door panel, and only one key!!!
It needs tires, a new steering rack, maybe breaks, good struts, just a few things...
But it is otherwise perfect!!!
It has 133,250 miles, and I achived 0-60 in 8.4 seconds with 3/4 of a tank of gas and a passenger @ (Approximately 32° F)!!!
Not bad for 155 HP!!!
Steering is heavy but not very tight, also, bad tires and maybe needs a rack, I'm not sure, but it's not very detectable...
It has plenty of low-end torque and downshifts pretty responsively... The engine does make an annoying tone when accelerated growth normally...
Here are are a few pictures!!!

Congratulations man, it looks good. Not sure if you noticed, but the rear end looks a bit like the TLX (the tail light shape). By the way I find it really cool how excited you get over relatively simple cars. You strike me as a glass half full type of guy. I wish you the best of luck with it and before the others can say it, I'll say it. I hear brake cleaner is really good for cleaning the car

The 2AR-FE in the RAV4 (178 HP) and 2AZ-FE in my Camry (155 HP) are very similar...
In fact, In February 2016 I had a 2016 Camry SE 2.5 (2AR-FE) and it felt about exactly like this 2008 model, which is pretty powerful for what it really is...
I can can burn a little rubber, acceleration feels just about like a 2003 GMC Yukon/Chevrolet Tahoe....
Such a difference from my 2001 Camry 5S-FE with 136 HP (Before the 2006 Horsepower measurement revision) so really, closer to 130, but it's like going from an I4 to V6 in terms of overall acceleration...
But the engine does make an annoying "whoom" around 2-3K RPM, but I can't complain as it has exceeded my expectations greatly!!!

I understand, but the option of driving it makes me love the RDX that much more, it'll be hard to get tired of both... This is how I got by until we were down to 1 car for two years...

Here's the run down... . . . . . . . .
I've ordered the LED interior kit, better quality LEDs for the plate lights, but LEDs are better than they were in 2014 from what I've noticed...
HIDs for my projectors, and it'll look alright...
Yellow bulbs for the fog lights...
Little things like that...
Also, I only have one key, and the battery way dead in the fob, but I just replaced the battery and it seems to work... I'm in town in the RDX now and will try it after returning to the Camry at the house (barn) in the country...
Overall, I'm satisfied... I won't be on here for the usual 12 days, but I look forward to reading you comments then, in the mean time, the fun staters when the packages arrive!!!
P.S., RDX10, look up sone interior pictures, I haven't gotten one yet, but it has the (Ash) gray leather without navigation, but it looks nice!!!
Take care everyone!!!

All is well!!!
Here are my mods so far...
Kensun H11 35W 5,000K hit kit (Similar to the RDX's stock lights)
LED license plate tag lights
TRD plate frame
Plastidip emblems -
Black (10 Coats)
Metalizer (1 coat)
Glossifier (6 coats)
Should have put more glossifier, maybe 4-5 more coats, but it looks really good...
Nokya 2,500K H11 yellow fog lights (I had an old Amazon gift card)
Phillips 921 LED reverse lights I originally got for the RDX before I learned Honda/Acura also use 7443 for reverse lights. They have a nice design (silver on top (front) like a lantern) so you that don't see them in the reflector...
I need a little work, and two more keys, floor mats (WeatherTech liners) just things like that...
I also nees to harrass the dealer dealer for a new dash... It's recalled for melting...
Overall, I'm happy, enjoys the pics, and sorry for the dirt as we have five cats, two of which like laying on our automobiles!!!
Goodnight...

I installed the LED interior lights this evening... My, how generic eBay LEDs have improved since 2013!!!
Some were blue, some were pink.... It was always a surprise back then...
I am a tad concerned about the quality of the HID kit... LOVE the color, but the ballast seem smaller then my older kit in the 2001 Camry, and they're not that extreme white, they have a little more blue than my old ones, and they have a slight flicker... I can live with it just fine, just so it doesn't pull BS in like a month...
I visited the Toyota dealer today to order a paint pen, which they surprisingly had in stock... I also inquiried about having a spare key coded ($50 each) key itself cost about $25 online...
I also asked about about general oil changes ($40-45) and done by Toyota!!!
Honda charges $37 for the RDX, if I hadn't mentioned it before!!!
I've also Perseus the dash recall, which wasn't a pursuit at all... In fact, the service advisor went way above and beyond to help us, and witching 30 minutes, I was offered a free dash installed tomorrow morning for free only taking appropriately 3 hours!!!
Someone decided to back out last minute last week so they had it in stock... Some people wait 2 mothers, others nearly a year... Also, the stipulations were different or have changed and if I hadn't gone now is have been screwed as covered age by Toyota is terminated this May, whew, that was close, I thought I had until like November!!!
Im glad, fixing to ride out storms tonight in hope for a great day tomorrow, sleep tight everyone!!!

That's so fricken awesome that toyota is doing the dash for free for you! Some poor guys here on the forum with their cracking TL dashes probably feel your pain. It's like winning something haha.

His looks a lot worse than my parent's 4Runner was. Theirs just had a 'tacky' feeling to it & wasn't 'melted' yet. They were going to get it replaced, then traded it in for a Duramax.
#34
So I'm assuming you parents had the 2003-2009 body style 4runner correct? Those were really really nice to drive, very comfortable and smooth.

I've observed dash cracking more than melting on those models however...
But the poor 2004-09 RX330/350 dash crumbling, much like the 3gen TL...
I would get a TL one day, but the dash turns me off big time...

The V6 was really good to drive & could be left in 4Hi all the time, made it like driving on rails in the rain.
The V8 had gobs of torque out of that 4.7, really easy to speed.

I just rolled past the dealer, been riding throgh town all day, we had bad weather overnight... Maybe a small tornado or strong straight line winds... Wasn't bad where I live, 15 minutes from town... Anyway, I decided to look, and I see a dash in it, and a tech working on it, so it should be done soon... It's been since 10 am. since I dropped it off, it's now 2:30, it seems so easy...
The service advisor said they won't have to remove the seats or console... Which I saw in a video about a 2007 Mazda6 that need a blower assembly or something... She said Mazdas are like that, every time...
Anyway, I'm so happy this was a non-issue, it was one of my largest concerns with choosing this car... It's a long story how I got it, but it was very sudden...
RDX10, you seem more excited than I am, by the way...

Mysterymeat, replace that centre arm rest cover!!!
fix the broken shit before you start modding. I know it sucks spending money on stuff like that, but trust me, you'll appreciate a car that is in good shape with some mods a lot more than a car that's beat up with some mods.

I ordered a cover that is slightly softer in material, this one is very hard, the vinyl is stiff... I need to figure out how to install it, but I addressed that the first night I ordered stuff for it...
You're the first person to say anything about it, good eye!!!
