Well, well.. Seems the 5.0 may have competition! I found a supercharged 6MT C6 for around what I could sell my 5.0 for.. Hmm, tempting!

C6 ad was over two months old and the car is likely sold by now.

Just curious, someone offered me a Sonic Blue 04 Kenne Belle Cobra + cash to trade for my 5.0 but I have a lien on my car, so to my knowledge the trade wouldn't work since I'd need to pay off the balance before I could sell the car, right?

Honestly, the only reason I'm getting the itch to swap again is because I haven't purchased a mod since Christmas and I keep thinking about doing little things and then all of a sudden there's a Whipple 2.9L supercharger in my shopping cart. lol.

Don't get me wrong, I want 650-680whp on pump gas but even in my stock format right now I haven't run a single car that's made me feel like "Oh, if I had this mod I'd keep up". I have yet to install my CAI or even receive my tune. I'd be buying the supercharger simply for the sake of having one and never really needing that power.

I ran another E92 M3 and a 435i yesterday. Destroyed both of them and the M3 claimed bolt-ons while the 435i claimed tune and down-pipes. I'm almost hoping for a close race and a loss so I can get excited about installing some go-fast bits.

You're doing the right thing.

I have a newborn baby. Which I only bring up to let you know the sacrifice this would be...
I will jump on a plane and fly out there for a white glove slap to your face...

a terminator? instead of your sexy ass fucking 5.0...i get wood every time i see one...and in your color, lowered on wheels...already whooping everyone's ass on the street.

Shit...I bet you're even romanticizing the S2000...it is great fun to drive, but that 5.0 is an all around better car to own as your only car. Fast, sexy, room for 4 (with skinny legs) all the new bells and whistles...

that car is fucking sex.

You guys are some good friends. Although owning a vette would be awesome, I can see the pros in keeping my new 5.0.

But.. Maybe another sport bike to scratch the speed itch?

This is more of a life update than anything else, but I have to say that selling the G37 was the best thing to happen to me in a while. Selling that car paid off all my debt which in turn raised my credit substantially!

Went from the 750's to the 560's/580's, sold the G and paid all cards off in full and now my credit score is back up to 750+ again! I think it's time to start looking at places to refinance the 5.0. I've got a terrible interest rate right now (9.56%) and I'm sure I can find better.

Dude, my Father in Law used to be the special finance manager at Honda...fucking 29.9% was his cap...and people were happy to pay it!

I feel you...I got dropped by Amex to almost no credit line on my cards...got declined by f got ass Discover...as soon as the foreclosure was resolved...bam, I'm in the game again with mid 700's!

Cheers to getting back on our feet, man.

I'm paying fucking $450.96/month at the current interest rate. . For that money, I could be driving nicer than a 5.0. LOL. The money saved by getting a lower interest rate could be used for better things. I.e. - replenishing my savings or buying a 2012 or higher CBR1000RR.

I haven't even made the first payment yet, is it too early to do so? It's funny, I worked at a Union Bank and San Diego County Credit Union for a combine total of 2.5 years and used to deal with this stuff all day long but now I don't remember the first thing about re-financing a car or even how to cross shop rates without hurting my credit again. . The medical field has taken over my banking side.

J, that's good to hear brother! Maybe you can co-sign for my, excuse me, I mean "our" apartment in SD??

Nope, no supercharger for this guy! My tune is finally coming in!! I'm excited to see how the car runs with the CAI + E85.

Gonna be a fun week, I've got some mods planned (^^) plus some maintenance (oil change + alignment).

hey, they allow that in Cali! Let's get married!

Dude, nicer is relative...there are people paying $450 to drive an accord right now. That 5.0 is not a car you settled for. If you think so, it's because you convinced yourself of it and it's in your control to change your perception and appreciate what you got!

I will have a 5.0 one of these days...

Any chance Betty can plan the whole thing for us? Women have a better sense of how to coordinate these things. Hahahah.

True that, I don't wanna come off ungrateful. Obviously I love my car. I just always have this "I can do better mentality" that gets to me.

Honestly, man...that's the mentality that gets us all in trouble. IN one afternoon I can be absolutely certain I'm done with teh low life...I want comfort or a truck...then later in the day I'll be talking about how I need to restore and find and old 911 because I must be a Porsche guy one day...

Same here. Two paid off cars and no debt. I know I could be in a Charger Scat Pack right now for a reasonable monthly payment, but having no car payment is worth more to me than the 150 extra horsepower and additional tech. Patience is key. I have to talk myself out of a new car pretty much daily lol. It's a sickness, but you tend to start thinking about more important things like the future once you have kids. God I feel old ha ha.

+1 to all with paid off cars, it's definitely an awesome feeling. Two of our cars are paid off (paid cash for both), just have payments on the Jeep but they are 0% interest so...not a big deal.

OP, you'll realize real fast that the money spent on pointless mods and new cars can be better used for other things (like a house).

I've learned quite a bit in the 3+ years I've had the ST, and these guys speak the truth.

And now that I own a place, my perspective has changed even more.

Enjoy the 5.0 and the CAI + tune, but don't go too crazy. Build up that savings and pay off the debt.

Well, I just found out that motherf*cking dickhead piece of sh*t that rear-ended me didn't have insurance nor did he have a valid driver's license.

And get this, he told the cops that I passed him and reversed into him. Now why the f*ck would I intentionally reverse my new car into an old piece of shit '97 blazer? F*cking cocksucker. You could tell just by looking at him and his bitch wife that they didn't have any of the proper legal measures and rear-ended me with a child in their vehicle. The cop took their side in the end and said the accident was the result of road-rage. What?! If I reversed into him, my bumper would be all types of messed up.

Here's to hoping he gets tied to a chair and watches his wife get raped. Fucking cuck son of a bitch.

/End rant. Excuse my language. This shit just fucking sucks.

In the end, the officer basically said no one's at fault. How the fuck can no one be at my fault if my rear bumper is damaged? This is such bullshit. I know it's not a big deal or whatever, $600-700 at most but it's the fucking principal of the matter that's bugging me. Cock sucker over here gets to walk away with a couple of tickets for no insurance and driving on a suspended license and I have to pay out of pocket for the damage he caused to my new car?

Mannnn, what kinda' shit is that?! I pay for my insurance, keep a valid driver's license, etc and the cuckold fuck just gets let off even though he's doing everything illegally.

Funny story, that won't make you feel better.

In my EP3 Si...I wrecked, totaled, actually...I made a left in front of a car and my gangsta lean made him disappear in my A pillar (ta da!)

Whole Hatian family...father gets out yelling at me, I'm apologizing...cop was an old white guy, he's like, sir you see his car, he loves his car, he didn't do it on purpose. I even TOLD the cop, it was totally my fault, man, I didn't see him.

Go pick up the ticket a few days later...

no fault...

I was grateful, but I was also willing to accept the consequences of my mistake. I can go on and on but accountability is one of my biggest complaints with the masses. Those people should have been locked up. They saw you as a privileged young punk...with your new mustang and him and his family scraping together to make ends meet. Shiet, maybe he really was...and this would put them under. Never know, man...

but I'm with you...maybe excuse to go Roush bumper if there is such a thing?!?!

Well, worse things could've happened and I'm happy you came out of that alright my dude. It's not my week though. Lol I just put ever so slightly curb rash on my right rear wheel but whatever. This car is more awesome than I give it credit for. Whenever I feel shitty I just grab my keys and hit the highway and without even thinking about it I just feel better.

So my short-term to-do list for the 5.0 is:
- Oil Change
- Fix right rear wheel's curb rash
- alignment
- buff rear bumper

Then supercharge
