Damn you for posting that pic E!

My wife is away for work so I told her last night that when she gets home, we need to chat. She paused and said... "Car?" "We'll talk when I'm back"...

She knows me too well...

I'll babysit the E so the Lotus can fit in your garage.

That's awesome. If you can wait a week we may be talking. Just deposited the payment for the Toy Hauler and the misses didn't say no. It also helps that she remembered you from our trip to Dallas a few years ago. She's not back until Friday, but I have a race this weekend... so we won't be able to really talk about it until Sunday.

He might hate by then, having to drive it cross-country.

Congrats on the R. I probably would have felt the same way about the CTR. Let's see more of your new car!

I'd be curious to see how the R compares to my ST. I've never driven one. And even better, compare back to back with the RS. I never fell in love with the interior of the GTI/R like I did the ST/RS.

LOL... yeah. I could probably stand to drive it to the beach and mountains from CLT... but not sure I'd want to do a 16+ hour drive in one. Likely just have it shipped. My Tundra came from Houston and it wasn't that much (although the dealer paid, I know what the cost was) and didn't take too long...

I'd have delivered it for the cost of a return flight & some laps in a kart

I would have went with the Golf R too, and drivetrain layout isn't the only reason. The CTR grabs almost as much attention as an Elise, but the CTR is so gaudy looking. I've never cared about looking ridiculous in an STI or Evo with their shopping cart-wings, but the Type-R is just too much inside and out. No doubt it's a blast to drive though.

I agree You should've seen me when I bought it. Laptop in one hand credit card in the other and phone pressed against my shoulder and ear. I was putting 500 down so he'd close the eBay ad. My wife walked in and said "are you buying a car?!?!" I said NOT NOW WOMAN!! She knew I wanted one. She didn't know that this one never saw a drop of rain and only had 4680 miles on it

If I read the thread correctly, you race go-karts? Not many cars out there you'll feel more at home in than E's.

Take your time. I dont see anyone walking up to me with cash in the near future.

I do. And I already have a custom plate picked out. Nothing fancy... just a kart related hashtag for the business. If the car is going to get attention I may as well use it for marketing

We just need to review some numbers. We are about to start another house addition, so just need to make sure all our ducks are in a row

The good news is the payment for the toy hauler cleared this AM... so that's the first hurdle out of the way
