Noticed a bit of stumbling while idling in line to pick up my daughter from school yesterday. Hoping it's just to do with the dealer provided first tank of gas. Will be filling up with 93 today & we'll see if it improves.
Still haven't decided if I like the auto-stop. With how hot it's been here, it only stops the engine for about 30 seconds, then starts again due to cabin temp. Not sure if it's being extra hard on the engine to cycle as much as it is. So I either disable it (have to push the button every time you start the truck, or just keep light enough pressure on the brake so it won't engage.

This'll be 98% a street truck, with a little time spent at our ranch on pretty well maintained oilfield gravel roads. Out there we have some dedicated trucks that live there & can get beat to hell without worry.

I don't necessarily dislike the auto-stop, so much as don't see the point to turn the engine off for 22 seconds, then restart to keep the cabin from getting hot (mid-90s outside). Maybe in the cooler months it'll make more sense.
Also, in the last 15 years, I can't think of a situation/time that I've needed 4WD.

I'd say join me on my next off road trip but there's no way that beast is going to make it up any of the switchbacks lol. Also, gravel roads don't need 4WD.

Also, Cravenspeed is having to send me another antenna, the first one got lost in the mail.
Next up, is removing the SPORT badges on the bedsides, not sure if I'll keep the EcoBoost badges on the doors & will probably change or swap the F150 fender badges eventually, since they have mounting pins/holes behind them.

I have a small quick car already but I almost like off road adventures more. The sights these things can take you to are some that not many humans will ever see. Takes all kinds though!

Something I've noticed in the ~600 miles I've put on the truck so far, on a particular ~1 mile stretch of really poorly patched road, both directions on my commute. Truck makes a bit of a sidestep in the rear when going over the worse parts of the road; caught me off guard the first time, almost like it's trying to swerve.
Some guys over on the F150 forum are experiencing similar behavior, seems a new set of rear shocks kills most of the problem (consensus seems to be the trucks are oversprung & underdamped).
I'm loving it, coming from 15 years of cars, this is a big change. No regrets so far, though the 18-20mpg is a big drop from the 29-33 in the Civic.
How did you spray it without killing the Ford script? Love the way yours looks & the metallic in it will work well with the Magnetic.

There's an app called Forscan to alter some of the coding, there may be a way to default it to off, along with lots of other tricks.

I think it's translucent so the chrome still shows through while you bury the blue.
my work truck does that too...it feels like the bed of the truck is getting disconnected from the cab...I chalked it up to just how a truck is supposed to drive.

Did some un-scientific testing yesterday & drove it with the traction control off, no sidestep. Not sure if coincidence, will be trying it a few more times.
A few guys reporting that putting some weight in the bed helps as well.
...put some weight in the bed = making more babies?

Finished debadging the truck & got the CravenSpeed Stubby installed.
Next up is attempting the duplicolor mentioned above om the Ford emblems & maybe the fender badges. Thought about trying to file down the XLT part of the fender badges & replace it with the EcoBoost badges from the doors, they're the right size for it.

You might want to ask your dealer to see if they can reprogram it so it remembers the last setting before you turn off the car.
My 13 335i did that, dealer did a 1 time program, so it would remember where I left off.
If you bought the car, i would definitely turn that thing off completely. the 0.01 mpg you saved is not worth the constant on/off excessive wear/tear caused on the engine at every stop. just my opinion.

Defaults to 'ON' with every start. Not sure if Forscan can swap the default value. Honestly, it's not a big deal so far, and it's smart enough to know when not to stop, EG: if the wheel is turned beyond a certain point when you stop, it self-disables.

Line-X done. She said it's about 80% cured, nothing over 50lbs on it for 24 hours or it will leave flat spots in the texture.
They did a fantastic job, about 90 minutes start to finish. If anyone in Houston is looking for one, I'd re-use them for sure.

Got a quote (no tax & free shipping) for a Bak MX4 that's 200-250 less than most I've seen listed, tempting, but need to probably wait a bit before tossing another big purchase at the truck before its first note is even due 
Just need to get SWMBO approval
Will have to frame it as, it'll make our couple road trips (Albuquerque & CO Springs in Nov & Dec) easier, since we'll be in the snow & won't have to worry about weatherproofing the luggage.

Thinking about a headlight upgrade to dress up the front end & move to either HID or LED over the mediocre halogens, to be followed up with a plug & play Morimoto foglight upgrade.
