Thank you guys for the kind words. It means a lot to me. This has been a very difficult loss for my family---a man that was loved by all who knew him for only 5 minutes. I wish you all the best of health and continued best of health to your entire families. Thanks again guys. Nice to know there are true friends here.

He truly was---a true man those that don't exist these days anymore. I'll continue to strive to be 1/2 the man he was and make him proud by helping other cancer patients like himself.

Thanks for being a class act NSXNEXT (sorry for some of our childish comments back and forth in the past)

Steve, Sorry for your loss. I feel for you. Always remember the good times.

I lost my Aunt a while back to it, and my Mother and Grandmother to cancer in the last year and a half. Also, my Father had his prostate removed and is still fighting that cancer with treatments. Wish there was a cure already...

Mike

You know I'm gluing the traction control button and active handling button shut before you get in it, right?

My life dream is to help find a cure one day. My Grandma died the day before my b-day and my dad on my b-day from Cancer. Thankfully, we have come a long way and I have cured many patient's, but the key is that the disease has to be found early in the majority of cases to have significant survival/chance of cure. Rest assured, I'm going to keep the fight going until the day I die. Prostate cancer is once of those cancers that really has come a long way. Not sure about any of his specifics obviously but if you have any questions/concerns, shoot me a PM about your father, and I would be glad to help. Very grateful to have graduated from some of the best cancer institutions in the country (thanks to my amazing father being there along the way).

Wow, two in the family died of cancer, terrible. Just scrolling through Fb, I've seen 6 friends in their late 20's getting breast cancer and one guy has a brain tumor. I don't know if more and more people are getting cancer or as I get older, I'm just seeing more people affected due to my age but keep making strides in the fight doc, we all appreciate it!

Best wishes to you and your family.

So after an ordeal from hell with East Coast Supercharging (lawyers, ect), there is finally some light at the end of this tunnel. One of the worst experiences during the worst period of my life.

Anyway, motor is at the machine shop being Fully Built with a nice Blower Cam.....what should follow soon should be pretty epic. Stay tuned.....

BTW, my car has been at ECS since JUNE! This better be worth the hell I've been through!

I have wanted to post my story on the Corvette Forum, badly, given the "great reputation" this shop has....but as with all legal disasters and while they have my car in their possession, its best to keep my epic story/emails/ect to myself.

yea we just went on Sunday morning, but I knew you didn't have the car so i didn't bother calling you. maybe i should have and you could have taken out the S... Don't worry, once you get the car back we can go on a welcome back ride... the boys have been eager to take their cars out since they sat all year... Sunday was the furthest that z06 boy drove the car all year (180 miles)... his wife keeps telling him to get a custom plate for it 'NVRDRVN'

it's funny because z06 boy won't take his car to ECS.. he had a bad experience with them when he had his Camaro... he's thinking k-tech instead... it's an excuse for a road trip...

2K2SilverTL-S - So sorry about your loss, just read about it now.. All the best to you and your family as you guys try to move forward...

On a much lighter note, I hope everything works out for you in regards to the ECS ordeal. You certainly deserve some good drive time before winter sets in.

you have no idea how pissed z06 boy is... he is ready to ship his car to Katech and drop $20k on it... i told him about your car then i brought the Vagon home...

funny storty: on Sunday we were having cigars on Captain's deck and z06 boy looks over to Captain and says 'besides the fact that it's a heavy pig, can you believe that Kam has the highest hp car out of all of us now?'

i said 'correction (puff on stogie), my WIFE has the highest hp car out of all of us and can drive it.'

i thought he was going to cry and now captain is having the motor for his Chevelle stroked...

haha....I can just picture you doing that Andrew. Must have been classic.

Can't wait to go for a ride with the gang and see the Vagon and/or Charlotte. When is the next planned trip?

Motor just got finished. "Bigger" ECS cam (made by Comp Cam) is going in with the motor next week and I hope to FINALLY have her back next weekend.

Anyway, as I count down the days in agony, here is a great vid my buddy Omar put together with a few clips of my "old" set up. BONUS: I spot another AZ member in this video, lets see who can also pick him out

Turn up your speakers, grab a beer and enjoy!!

Well, no surprise, I keep getting bullsh*t excuses to why my car is not done yet from ECS after being "assured" my car would be done already. Another kicker is the car has to have 100-150 break in miles before it goes on the dyno, and of course, they plan to take my car after-hours to do this.

Only token is the motor looks great. Can't wait to get her back already.

Here it is back from the machine shop....

Here it is ready to go in the car after install of their "Big Blower Cam"....

So you can’t make this stuff up, this saga continues….

So Friday was to be the day I pick my car up. I’m all excited and take the 80 mile drive down to ECS and as Im on my way, I get an email saying Doug noted an “intermittent traction control code” that they needed to check out, but they would hopefully get it figured out by the time I get there. OK (BTW, the bill had a $300 charge for “break in time” driving my car). Turns out the front passenger hub is now bad and needs to be replaced---it was causing the traction control/active handling/ABS system to go haywire as a result. They reset the codes and I was supposed to take my car home like this (of course, the passenger hub wasn’t bad when I dropped the car off in June). We straighten out the $12,500 bill, I get in, take it down the road and as soon as I hit the brakes, the car swerves left/right and the DIC lights up saying “service ABS, service traction control, service active handling.” I turn right around and go back to ECS telling them I’m not taking my car home like this after having my car there FOR OVER 4 months. I wasn’t angry at this point, just in disbelief that they would give me my car like this (and a little sad).

On the bright side, the car sounded PERFECT. Awesome cam lope at idle. Car put down ~700 whp/615wtq conservatively and without being broken in yet (power now limited by fuel delivery—with a new fuel system and bigger injectors, 850+ whp capable as the motor has Forged MAHLE FI Pistons now). Anyway….as Kam said…..arghhhhh

BTW TP, once I have the energy in me and this situation is over, I'll post what happened before this...

I'm glad the end is in sight.

Steveo - slow and steady wins the race (at least on the build part)... the light is at the end of the tunnel... we are getting close to having the Harlet home!!! at least this shouldn't be too difficult a fix as long as GM has the part in stock and they don't take a week to put in a new hub... hope for some updates soon... and if you need a lift the next time to go down and get the car, shoot me a text... i'll take you in the Vagon and we can tandem home... they will see the car that they WON'T be working on because i'll probably go with Tune Time...

Andrew, that would be awesome if it could work out! Thanks for even offering, that is awesome of you brother. I will shoot you a text. Im going to plead with them to get the hub in as soon as they get it (I can't say how SICK AND TIRED I am pleading for these guys to work on/finish my car). Praying its before the end of the week. I would NEVER let you take your Vagon there for work Andrew! It blows my mind how these guys still have so much business and still have a "great" reputation (always 10+ very nice Vettes there for work).

I remember you mentioning that about Z06 bud. I know I'm not the only one to have a bad experience with their "customer service." Not sure about Tune Time, so can't really comment on them.

Latest news is that the part will be there tomorrow morning and they will "get it installed right away and we will arrange the car to you." (whatever that means). Not keeping my hopes up with these guys. The email the shop manager sent me rationalizing the fiasco on Friday is comical. Anyway, I'll shoot you a text Andrew once I learn more. Can't wait to cruise together soon (regardless if your able to come with me or not, a cruise together is in order )

I will try to get some vids up for the forum once I get it back. The cam lope at idle is glorious. I'm sure it spits fire/flames as well, although watching some of the youtube videos frighten me about that.

regardless of what happens this week, once we get more visibility on when you will get your car back, i'll set up a cruise with the other GM crew... as long as the weather holds like it has been we can always head south towards the shore... last year our last cruise was the weekend after Thanksgiving... let's hope there is no snow till then!!!

it gives me some time to wire up the dashcam in the Vagon since i'm usually anchor...
