Ferrari 458 And Models: The Photographer’s Point Of View

Maybe Sirka can add his experience in this area. A friend with a Diablo and a 328GTS has done a few shoots in DC

Both the car and models look good until you get to the top quarter of them; why two tone the car and why such ugly faces (for 'models').

Didn't click on the link, but based on the pics posted.... it doesn't look like the photographer knows how to work with lighting.

oh great here we go again-there's gonna be a call out, a threatened smack down and an epic rant about how someone thinks he's a great photographer but really isn't and cannot take criticism.

I thought the horses were supposed to be on the hood and trunk of a Ferrari, not INSIDE the Ferrari

I'm sorry, but those chicks look like they were the last girls at a bar at closing time. Sorry OP, but that's just the truth. I agree with Synth- I've seen people take better pics with iPhones...

No offence taken, I posted the article not for the pictures but for the accompanying story on what it's like to do a photo shoot with cars and models by the writer.
Was curious if others had worked with lighting and indoor settings as well.
The younger blonde one was OK (not a 10 but not a 4 either), the shot of her in the Ferrari with the open door was done well.

Two amateur photographers I know have done model/car shoots. One did it for free since his Ferrari 328GTS was used as one of the cars. Unfortunately one of the "models" (semi-nude/nudes she was more a exotic dancer/stripper than a model) puts some small dents in the front hood of his Ferrari with her knees while posing. Ohh the perils of "model"/car shoots. He's suppose to get a paint-less dent removal guy to smooth them out.

Gross.

They look like a nasty mother daughter porno team.

And the photos??? That guy has no idea about exposure, or lighting...let alone what lens or how to frame in order to accentuate the car...or the models for that matter.

You're lighting a 40 years old woman....soft light and massive filtration are you friend...but he sure knew enough to take one of his more badly composed shots and put a beautiful landscape (that someone else no doubt shot) and put it outside the garage door...completely with lens flare...

Oh and the one photo he did of the car is generic "looking down" at the wheel photo.

What a jackass.
