Car Identification Request

Hello All,
I have a request for someone with that Honda keen eye that can tell a Honda from a block a way, lol. Here is what I have. We had a house burglar that I caught on camera, but it was late at night and as things go, the camera didn't make a pinpoint accuracy to Identify. Now I have a couple items to show and if I could respectfully ask if anyone here can positively identify this vehicle. If it is a Honda, what kind and year would be very helpful. So here we go... I will put this first image up and explain the issue concerning it. This car license plate shows AER7310. After running the plates, it came back as a 1998 Acura CL and VIN#19UYA2248WL003085. I checked what a 1998 Acura CL looks like and the tail lights are not the same as this images tail lights. Am I wrong or is this a 1998 Acura CL Cpe. Says it's a 2 door also but it kind of looks like a 4 door, not sure. This is why I came to the professionals, You folks.

This is the actual car that transported these scumbags. I have a video of the car as well if that might help. Just ask and I can produce it. But, maybe someone might know before that. Take a look.

To me, both these images almost look like same car, but I again am not that Acura savoy. Take a look and if you can identify these models I would forever be in your folks dept. I can supply some other angles and video again, but quality isn't what I wish it was but it may be enough for some one in here to know exactly.

Thank you for any time spent, I appreciate all the help I can get to get these guys.

That first picture looks like 90-93 Honda Accord.

Because of the Lic plate location that looks like a Honda Accord... Early nineteen nineties, 4 or 2 door.

Agreed. Definitely not a 1998 CL as they had very distinct tails. Likely stole the plate and put it on another car.

I also agree with the others... looks like an early 90's Accord sedan...

at first glance it does look like an 90-93 accord too. but i wouldn't rule out a 3rd gen Nissan Sentra either.

Based on the tail lights and front corner lens, I see a 1990-1991 Accord. The 1992-1993 model had the brake light on the top portion of the light.

You know what? AZ scares me, sometimes. You guys are just too good.

DEFINTELY not a CL. I agree with the supposition that the plate was stolen and placed on a stolen car. Mid-90's Accord was my first thought upon seeing that picture.

Wow guys, you are a great forum and the help is appreciated. So this is what I gathered, I can almost guarantee the stolen plate idea is probably true and that's exactly what I thought. I will be reporting this to our local police dept. Located in Washington State, the plate identification site gave me the info I supplied here for you all.
Now, On the second picture of the small dark car. These 2 people in this car stole a friggin wind chime off an old ladies porch and my security cameras picked it up and I also gave a failed chase on the suspect. I couldn't quite figure out what type of vehicle this was as they took off, so I have supplied the video link below that could maybe help someone here know what the vehicle might be. This video shows the entire crime take place which for what it's worth is pure stupidity in action. I have taken additional steps to be more prepared for a scenario like this the next time. Reason is that 2 days later some brave POS walked up my driveway and tried to steal my car and I almost caught him, slipping out of my grip and getting away. This made news and was broadcasted in our area. Next time it happens? well it may be a little different outcome when I step outside to meet them. Anyway, here is the video of the worthless crime taking place. Remember to use HD setting on video and I hope maybe the car model can be given if possible. Thanks all!!!!

Probably not the Sentra. The C pillar is too wide.

OK, so two things...

1) What camera system are you using? We are about to install one at a rental property and this quality looks amazing.
2) Nice agility on that wall hop. But yes, next time, carry some type of weapon, just in case

After seeing that vid I'm still sticking with my early 90's Accord theory. For reference below is a stock photo of a 1st Gen CL from a kind of/sort of similar angle. You can see they look nothing alike... especially the trunk/tail...

Ok, I will try and answer all the questions I was asked since you all helped me out a bunch.

JustnSpace: I have armed myself with a new Ruger LCP II and have my conceal and carry permit also. I also have two long Axe handle hammers at the front door and if things get to far for small arm fire, I have a Remington 700 high power deer rifle. Though I don't want to send any lead through a house with that cannon. Right after these guys stole the ladies chimes, I had some azzhole come up my driveway to try and steal an '85 TBird that I just finished putting a high performance 302 into. It was sitting next to a 1989 Toyota MR2 that has been restored also. This guy just slipped through my hands when I went after him. That made me rethink everything and I decided, No more chasing. I will cause bodily injury next time and will not step off my porch. They get one warning. Oh, I was also barefoot when I went after them. Our news broadcast station KHQ called me the barefoot vigilanty. Joe McHale, head reporter there was actually a great guy and did a respectful story on my camera work and my posting on YouTube.

Here is what I made for the first car per your guys info. I have since filed a report on the car and the plates to local Police. I also will be checking a couple Accords nearby.

Juniorbean: Right now I use IP POE connected cabled cameras. I have 5 Hikvision Bullet Cams CD2032 and 1 Huisun 2016 v2 2.0MP 10X Camera IP Bullet PTZ Camera. I am planning on trading out the Hikvision's for some better night vision cameras that can capture farther distance. I didn't realize the issue of my cameras until after mounting and using them that I needed some different focal lengths for the distances I use them at. It's a learning process.

JJones91: I think that pushed me over the decision fence and I see the Accord also, but just couldn't nail it down.

Final statement, For some reason I think we might have the same vehicle here as well. This stolen license plate accord and the thieves that rolled up and stole the ladies chimes on her porch, one of the same. What are the chances of finding a stolen plate Accord and also having the porch thieves driving the same type of vehicle and year. It's possible, but I know better. I think I will update my other report as well at the Police department and let the thieves figure out how to get out of it all.
I guess I also will say thanks guys. Your help was very cool to get, not like some other forums where they attitudes and basically are fuggin jerks.
I am a moderator at the forum...MightyRam50.com and basically we deal with the Mits, dodge, plymouth version mini trucks from '79 to '96 and out attitudes are much like all yours, very helpful. Thank You Again and stop by our forum anytime if you like.
I'll hit all your Thanks buttons also.

No problem Brad. We have some good people here, especially in Car Talk. Be sure to update this topic if/when there is a resolution to the matter. Also keep in mind that most of us here in Car Talk, Mods included, no longer own an Acura product, but we stay here b/c the forum is really a great place. Plus, in Car Talk, we talk about EVERYTHING!

Finally, I can't speak for everyone... but i personally would love some pics of your other projects. I'm also a mini-truck fan. When I was a kid in the 90's I loved the mini-truck movement.

Anyway, thanks for popping by, glad we could help, and don't be a stranger
