Can't be Nauman's. He sold it to a dr. friend of mine in Lubbock. His also was cammed (later head/cam/intake) by our mutual friend (and eventually sold by him for an R8 V10 6-speed). His C6z also had the other bolt-ons (headers/x/exhaust) and the ZR1 skirts. You would see drill holes under your door sills if they were removed in the nearly impossible chance it was N's old C6Z.

But it's easy to tell if you have the NPP or Bi-Mode exhaust. Look at your exhaust and you should see the baffles in the two center (inside) tailpipes and the valves actuators on top that control the baffles.

I am pretty sure that all C6 Z06's had the NPP and it was offered as an option beginning in either 2008 or 2009 on all c6's.. But thinking about it more, I recall it being called the "Bi-Mode" exhaust on the Z06 and I think it may have a slightly larger diameter pipe (2.5 vs. 3.0). You'll have to research to be sure.

I need a C6 Z06 in my life. Met up with my customer who just bought one yesterday. The thing sounded like it was going to run over everything in the front. hahaha

My buddies at work still keep asking why I haven't brought it yet, despite knowing I drive 20 miles a day in 8am traffic & back at 6pm.

Even tried to take car out to the store Sat morning to gauge it in the cold under 40F, & the Invos don't allow a lot of grip through 1st and 2nd. Even kicked on the TC system once.

We're not far off that time of year, either. We have maybe 1 good weekend left before the temps drop til March, so I'll have to give it a bath before storing her away as well. The rain has been a pain in the ass though, so if it's not cold, it's wet.

Where are you at that temps aren't cold by now but they will be for the next two months? And what are we defining as cold?

I'd be out in the S2k in a heartbeat if that was the weather here. Instead it's -14F with snow and ice all over the road.

I know there was a request for pics, well, this is all you get.
Coming off the tollway tonight, I noticed the car started acting a bit weird. Trying to move up to the light, the car suddenly would not engage first at all & would not move. I called trance for help, who got the car into a parking lot & deduced that the car is stuck in a high gear; he also noticed fluid had been leaking out the rear on the rear sway bar. Our guess is a transmission fluid leak is the culprit as the clutch still engaged/disengaged albeit difficulty with it stuck in, what I presume, is 5th. Calling in a favor, trance was able to have a shop leave their doors open for me to get the car 4 miles out to them in...3 fucking hours. 1.5 hour on the phone with GM Assistance who claim my car isn't verified as under warranty (despite me having a $2,500 bill from the dealer stating otherwise) 40 minutes of which spent just getting a tow truck arranged, 1 hour waiting on said truck, and the rest of the time spent getting it off loaded, paperwork, and a ride home.
Sooo, I will have to call in Monday to my dealer to figure out why I have no warranty (which may or may not end up leaving me the bill for this), likely calling GM Assistance again, & heading out to the shop who will hopefully have diagnosed the problem. Depending on how the warranty claim goes, I'm hoping the shop can go ahead & get it fixed regardless (best outcome is I have the warranty & the shop can perform the repairs under it). I really don't want GM to call back & say, "It's now under warranty, but you need a Chevy dealer to cover it" resulting in another tow.
Anyway, shitty Saturday. Probably spend tomorrow watching the rest of the Daytona 24H & trying not to think about this.

My guess is a cheap fix. Whatever the culprit for the leak.. and topping her off!

Probably would have been easiest to just top her off on the side of the road..

However, I have a suspicion there may be an issue within' the gear boot. 1st gear has been a bit of a wonky fucker to engage at times, & isn't as fluid engaging as the other 5. I've looked on a couple forums that think maybe the dog rings or synchro? Couple peeps also think fresh tranny fluid could fix it. Either way, the shop should know what's up right away when they get it on the lift.
May be far-fetched, but really hoping the CAGS bypass install didn't do something dumb.

Very doubtful...
I'm guessing if it were a cracked case or shaft seal, you would have seen evidence of a leak before it dripped low enough to stay in gear.
Does the Z have an overfill seal? How about a cooler?

I'm honestly not sure on the seal. It does have a cooler though as I read a couple threads that detailed the cooling lines & talked about 20 pages worth of info on fixing the OEM cooling system in a manual.

I dont think a leak would be what makes it stick in gear, although I dont know Vette trannys. Im thinking its a linkage issue. But the guys will have an answer zippy quick for you Monday morning. Shes is a safe place Rick. You're in good hands.
