2016 Camaro - Update Pg 2... went for HEMI power!
A while back there was a thread on what might replace your TL - I'm falling for the new Camaro big time. Didn't care for the last model, but this refresh has everything. I love the lines, interior is a huge improvement. Who could say no to that beautiful 455hp V8...They should be hitting lots soon, can't wait to check one out.

The problem is they look cool for a year until you see them all over the road as rental cars. I like the new Charger but give it a year and I'll be sick of looking at them. Doesn't help the resale on those cars is terrible as well.

I'll reserve judgment on the interior quality/feel until I can check one out - they look vastly improved from the last model. I think the SS trims hold their value pretty well, but yes the base models are junk. I was stuck on the Challenger SRT but I think the Camaro is winning me over.

Pretty cars and I think the high performance units will hold value unless they produce a million of them. I have to agree with what has been said about visibility. I sat in one two weeks back and it was the absolute worst visibility I have ever seen in a car bar none. It would probably be worthwhile to get those side sensors if they are available.

I don't know, my TL has been in the shop more than any car I've owned. Reliability is a buzz word, everyone is building their cars cutting corners and nothing lasts as long as it should. Acura doesn't want to give us more power, so I'm out

If you consider the Camaro, I'd say spend a little more and get the base stingray C7.

The Camaro is a nice looking car and the V8 is beast as well, just can't get pass the interior though.
Still have my 01 Aurora which I purchased new and it's extremely reliable, other than maintenance items no major expenses to date. Planning on keeping it for another 4 years.

You cannot put anybody in the back in a Corvette.....it is simply less practical for many people as a main car.
In the pictures the interiors look simply gorgeous..light years ahead of the current model....cannot wait to see it in person.
To the OP, do it if in the flesh it's confirmed as beautiful as it is in the pics...you live only once...and let's not forget that the new one is built on the Alpha platform, pretty much the best handling RWD chassis on the planet in that segment....

If you want that retro sport looking and still want to keep 4 doors you should do yourself a favor and take a spin on the new Charger SRT 392 (the Hellcat may be too much for some)...it is really beautiful and the interiors took a decisive turn to the high grade not too mention you can stuff them to the hilt with the latest tech....

This must be a move from the TL sections.
Lots of ignorant idiots...no real substance.
OP...if you dig, go rock it. I'm a mopar man myself, and I think the Challenger beats the shit out of the Camaro...especially the interior, and I don't anyone can deny that. But I'm also bias as Im a former owner, I would still have it if someone hadn't made an illegal turn in front of me. One of the best vehicles I ever owned.
American muscle is great, though , regardless of the marque on the grille. Pick one and rock it out.

The new Camaro has been moved to the Alpha platform...I think it will give a Mustang a lot of run for its money.......

If you like the new Canaro, go try it out. GM products are no longer POSs. I overcame my fear of American cars and...well, my sig tells the tale. PS my two CTS- Vs were/are as reliable as my Acuras, though refinement is still significantly better in the Acuras.

I agree that the new Mopar products have really improved especially in interior quality and design, however the Challenger at the moment is dynamically the worst of the 3 muscle amigos...it is simply too heavy and big (the only advantage is the big rear seats)..is not bad but simply the Camaro and the Mustang have sharper reflexes.
I had a full suspension on mine, and while big and heavy, it surprised the shit out of anyone took a fun ride with me. And I had tracked it, did pretty damn good. Compliant ride with no body roll.
But 99% of the people buying these will never leave city/highway streets. And the true differences will never be fully realized.
And everyone says too heavy and too big...yet somehow I managed to surprise some M3s, Porsches, and others.

I have no interest in the Mustang. The Challenger is a great car, but its soo big lol. I was a Pontiac guy for years before going Japanese. I owned a bonneville, 2 grand prix's, and a WS6. The kids are out of the house, so 4 doors isn't necessary, and we have an RDX for utility. I like the corvette, but it would cost a heck of a lot more than a fully loaded camaro - online the base price might be around 55K but you won't find that on a dealer lot anywhere around here, the lowest I've seen is 72K. That's simply too much for me to mentally spend on a car.
I hope it impresses in person as much as online. I love the clean lines and there's a video out now of the exhaust, sounds very similar to my buddy's new vette. I play with the design tool on chevy's site every day, think I would go White, black interior, black wheels, and blacked out tails. Leaning towards convertible.

I have a 2015 Mustang Ecoboost. It's a great car but I love technology more than I love horsepower so I didn't get the V8. I do miss the sound of a V8 though. There's simply no getting around that.
So, my advice is to go drive a 2016 Mustang GT Premium but without navigation and stuff like that. Also, shell out the extra $395 for the upgraded interior (I didn't by mistake) and I think you'll find you've got everything you could want from a car with looks that have greater longevity.
The only caveat is if you're looking at a 1LE Camaro. That's a better driving car than a Mustang GT Performance Pack (in 2015). If it's anything below the 1LE, the GT is a better car IMO.

Well I guess I should just head on over to the dealership and buy a 450hp V8 RWD Acura then...oh wait...
The fanboys are astonishing sometimes. The last Chevy Impala I had as a rental car had an interior that was on par with a TLX interior and it had a far less infuriating infotainment system.

Also one word: Hellcat.
1LE is an option group not a trim level, you can get it with any SS model. If you're getting a 2SS "fully loaded", you'd get the 1LE with it.

I smoked me quite a few 6.1 srt8's, the ones packing 6.4 392 are highway brutes. The ones packing 5.7... not even close!
Either way, competition brings out the best and look forward to the performance figures the Camaro puts down. I think by the time a special camaro comes out (they have a ZL1 in the works), I'll be in a v10 snake .

Unless you have video of you somehow surprising m3's and porsches I'll raise the BS flag.

2) I said surprised them. I never said I raced them at a track and won. I had many friendly encounters on the freeways and they were usual shocked that they weren't able to just drop this big heavy American car. I kept up and we would usually exchange leads. Only one car got pissed, an isf, because he thought we were racing (we weren't) but he couldn't lose me either. So go fly your bs flag high my brother. I just hope you're downwind.

You can't really go wrong with any American Muscle these days. Too many people get into annoying cliques of name calling and dissing. My opinion is that its all win all around. I'd take one of each if I could afford it.
