does this fit the 09-12 models?

No. It only directly bolts on to the 05-08 RL. It might be able to be modified to fit but I'm not sure. I know that Iakonafuji bought one that he was planning on trying to install on his 09 RL. You might want to PM him and ask if it's possible.
