Excellent when you're in a mall parking lot and someone walks past the back of your car when you're backing up.
To me it's a must-have on any future cars I get.
Had one too, worth it!

My 04AT is my first Acura..... an absolute pleasure....named her Arwen after the Lord of the Rings babe. This buggy is far far superior to my EX-car, an 01 VW 1.8T, an absolute piece of crap (too many defects and problems to even mention!!)

After 5 months with Arwen only a few very minor issues have surfaced: rattle from the top of dash; ceiling panel just behind sun roof has come away from frame and poorly applied tint (from dealer). Overall just minor aesthetic items that I will have corrected on the first service next week.

A Canuck TL'er section is a GREAT idea...

Keep the shiny side up.

Hmm, MSRP is $44,000, tax + $1100. With one tax it's 48100 or so, with two it's 51800 or so. Depending on where you are, you either saved $3400, or nothing at all? Assuming this is the Navi pkg.

I got the Navi pkg, and i think the dealer charge me 1424 on registration, freight that kind of thing, and i think it is almost 200 above the dealer's cost

Got our Best Deal at our Honda Dealership

We picked up our 2004 TL in the Oakville area late September. We did a lot of research and paid to get the dealer INVOICE pricing on these cars before even approaching a dealership.

Our best deal came from our local Honda Dealer, (beat out 2 area Acura Dealers)
where we had purchased our 2002 Honda Odyssey EX-L new.

Our new ride is the TL with Navi. package, NBP with the camel interior. Including
the 5 year extended warranty and all taxes minus the Odyssey as a trade in, came to
under $20000.00 for the TL. The Acura Dealers just couldn't match the price.

Knowing the Invoice price gave us the in on whether or not we were being presented with a good deal.

Love the car, but sure wish the break in period was over. She seems to be a bit of a
gas guzzler right now. Just over 600 kms on her.

Anyone in the Oakville area have a good contact for a set of good winter tires for the TL.

I have a set of mounted and balanced snows for the '02 Odyssey (Michelin Arctic Alpins)

that I know just will not fit and have been not been looking forward fondly about having to fork out another $1500 loonies for winter rubber and rims for the TL.

New for '05

Looks like Canada will get a few of the missing options not avail on the '04 TL's. I see that the base AT TL will be avail in Anthracite and it will also have a White diamond Pearl option with Ebony interior (last year you could only get parchment in WDP for the non-dynamic pkg TL). Looks like you can also get a navi on the dynamic pkg. Any other changes on '05?

Hi, I'm new to the board and I currently own an '02 Acura RSX Premium (Auto) with some modifications. I'm planning on purchasing an '05 TL (Auto) sometime in 2005 and I was wondering if anyone knows the invoice price for the '05 TL (Auto).

Thanks

I think the 05 Non Navi TL at invoice would be around $37800-$38300!!!! That is what one of the Acura Sales rep told me. Don't know if that info is true or not.

Hi Folks, I've been reading this forum for awhile and finally decided to take the TL for a test drive. It's a great ride and now I'm thinking about trading my car in for it. I was wondering if this was a good deal. 6spd no navi with aero package for about $3000 off. It's a 2004 and one of the last 6spd for 2004. I think they are having a hard time selling it due to the aero package. Personally I think it looks great. Helps differentait it from other TLs. Please let me know what you guys think. Should i jump at the this price??

6 speed do not have navi. Dont know much about the Aero package. $41800 is the MSRP for Dynamic package. Add tax and pdi etc on top of that.

The price he quoted me was 43700+gst+pst. That includes aero package $2900 and winter wheel and tire package $1900 and pdi. The total price of the car before discount is 47700.00 So toatl discount is about 4000 but that includes the winter wheels and tires.

$3000 off MSRP is a pretty good price to me. Many of us here at the Forum only got around $1000-2000 off MSRP. I would go for it!!!!!!! Especially they are throwing in some add ons such as the A-spec kit which is worth $2600. If you like the car alot and planning on buying one, I don't think you can get that kind of price elsewhere. Maybe but goodluck finding one!!! Let us know what happens. Goodluck dude!!

Looks like the 05s are in. I just checked Burrard Acura's inventory link.

Has anyone purchased an 05 w/ NAV in BC?
If so, what did you pay?

Thanks.

I am curious how much Canadians are paying for their 05 TL's. I know we were able to only get $1500 off msrp for many TL members here!!!

You can contact an authorized Ziebart operator depending on where you are in toronto. These guys use the 3M product. I think the price is in the $250-$300 range.

Hi guys,

I'm owning a Dynamic 04 TL anthracite and really appreciate it. I live 2 hours drive north of quebec city.

I had the seat memory changed because they could not keep memory for more than 4 days. I have the vibration problem on my winter tires, but I think it can be fixed by a good rebalancing to be done soon.

I had the back subwoofer vibrating quiet a lot lately, but I just had to gently puch the rear tablette down to make the rattle disapear.

Otherwise the car is great.

For summer I have: 18" A Spec rims with Yoko ES 100 235/40ZR18

For winter I have: 17" original rims that came with the car with Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50 215/50R17.

For those who are wondering how muck to pay for the 18" spec A rims, I paid 2000$ at the dealer, including the taxes, and 290$ per Yoko tires plus taxes at the tire shop near where I live.

Yay Canada!. .

Anyways, I'm new to the Board, and am in Edmonton, AB. I just bought an 05 TL Dynamic Package with NAVI in White Diamond Pearl. I hopefully pick it up this Saturday, but we will see then I guess .

One quick question for you fellow Canucks.. I need to get some winter tires, so I think I am going to buy a Winter Tire package from Acura.... Which of the following would you recommend? I am leaning towards the Blizzak LM-22's, but would like to get a little more feedback on this before I pick up.

Winter Tire/Wheel Package (17" Alloy and Blizzak WS-50) $1,708.88

Winter Tire/Wheel Package (17" Alloy and Blizzak LM-22) $1,808.88

Winter Tire/Wheel Package (17" Alloy and Michelin Pilot Alpin) $1,808.88

I got $1800 off MSRP. According to others, seems like some ppl have gotten $4000 off MSRP... sounds like I didn't get such a good deal after that, but whatever .
