My point is more that if you want to learn good techniques from this contest in both how to use photoshop and how to take good pictures showing both can show you not only your original, but what you did to it to make it a great picture. It would spur more discussions on PS technique.

eclipse23, I agree with your sentiments but this is, after all, a photo contest for fun in a car forum so I don't think the original image should be a requirement. I'm willing to bet that if anyone asks "Hey, how'd you do that?" most of us would provide the info and a link to the original image. I know I would (assuming I remeber what I did). I'm just of the opinion that the images that are actually posted in the contest should only be the end results. I put in the
hook like you suggested to give a means to challenge "cheating."

Here are some of my photos.
A picture I took in my Photography class a few semesters ago. That's my teacher in the reflection.
Last 4th of July (2004), that's my neighbor enjoying the fireworks on the street.

Lighthouse in FL near Daytona Beach.
Golden Gate Bridge from a clients house.
Pump gas at a 76 station in Manteca, CA.
A bird at Crater Lake, OR.
Crater Lake, OR.
My car at Crater Lake, OR.

The sun was setting and it looked like a good spot to take a pic of my 1st Gen... Used it a couple times as my wallpaper for my desktop...

some new "old" pics that are among my favorites....
