California Desert Super Bloom
So many places to go, many of them crowded and packed. We decided to hit the South (low desert) area of Joshua Tree, and we got in a 5 mile hike with the kids. We got there early enough to avoid all the people.

Oh man very nice. Yup heard about the super bloom on the news too. I went hiking with my wife in San Diego (Cedar Creek Falls) and it was lovely to see greens on the trail instead of just dead brushes.

Yeah just crazy how much green and color is out. And this is the low desert. High desert will probably bloom in the next week or two.

Too bad, I drove through that area back in like, geez, 1986 during a massive bloom (may not have been a Super Bloom, don't remember), and the smell darn near made me high.
