Anyone have a link to some good b/w tutorials? I always feel like my attempts at it look flat and uninteresting compared to the stuff in this thread.

I like using Nik Silver EFex Pro plugin, it's free now... have you ever tried it?

I'll look into it. I've heard good things about the whole Nik suite but haven't tried it yet...I should do that.

Silver Efex is great, Analog Efex and Color Efex also do well with B&W conversion.
