I never ever use my tilt/shift lens for that miniature effect... my cameras actually do the miniature effect in-camera anyways
A lot of cameras now offer effects built in (not sure if the upper level prosumer models do now or not). I know some of the Nikons have the ability to do what I did with the MGB pictures built in. I do it all in Photoshop as my camera doesn't have any of the effects built in.

my reply wasn't towards you, but Beelzebub. But mainly because people have a tendency to think that's all Tilt/Shift lenses do. They do about 7 things and most tilt/shift owners probably don't even do the whole "miniature/toy" thing with their lenses. It's fun but kind of a novelty IMO

Oh I know. I know you were referring to the tilt shift effect. I was just saying in general a lot of cameras now have all these effects built in. I actually have fun creating some of the effects in photoshop versus in camera. Part of the process for me. The miniature effect is definitely a novelty, but in the right setting, is a very cool one. The Yankee Stadium picture just works IMHO.
an old friend of mine in SoCal and her daughter, I can't believe how much she's grown, I used to change her diapers. They are moving to the Mammoth/June Lake area in about a month so I probably won't see them for a long long time
