Thea fog was crazy when we went through there 2 days ago. Beautiful until North Van, then an all enveloping blanket of fog. I saw a couple of great photo ops (fog around skyscrapers & shrouded sun that looked like the moon) but I was driving on the freeway and the family was asleep. I did get a couple pretty neat shots when we were almost to the in-laws that I will post soon.

My wife has been working on her pet clothing designs. I'll be taking the photos for her. Just trying out different processing for it. Not sure what the best style is for the pets. Hmmm

^ I like the style of the lighting and the high tone look of the images but you need to make the colors really pop if you're marketing those pet clothing. They're a little dull (color wise) for marketing photos but look really good for just about anything else.

I agree with SamDoe, they need to be a bit bolder in their processing.
I will also add, in the same vane, that I think the dog and the clothing should be the only recognizable things in the frame. I am not buying the apartment building or tree in the background of #1, nor the leash or person squatting down in #2.
I like that you used f1.8 to try to isolate the dog, but I think a different location may be better for you. Any prop or object in the shot should be because you WANT it there to add to the impression of the image.
Also, the length of the shadows would seem to indicate that the pictures were taken mid morning or mid afternoon. If you can wait until 30 minutes before sunset or later, you may get a nice soft light that helps make the dogs pop.
Finally, I suggest adding in one or more of Italiano's kids, awkwardly. Just a thought.
In these pics (from google) all I see is the dog and the clothing (and the clothing is clearly presented):
Keep posting them up, I would love to see what you ultimately use to sell the garments!

Wow, thank you guys so much for the suggestions. I love them!
Yeah, I will continue to post more for the next three weeks. My wife is trying to get her online shop going in about a month, so I will be doing a lot of experiment.
I shot this a couple of weeks ago. This was her first design. Just took them in the room.

I've been waiting for awhile to get a shot of the crescent moon, it's been coming out like super late the past few months (2am - 4am) or it's been overcast

I like the first one but, again, needs some more pop to it. Get the curtain out of the way (or crop more off the left side to only leave a little of it) and try and find a wall with less texture and without the trim at the bottom.
Seems silly but it's the little things that matter when you're using pics to sell stuff.
The one your photography guy did looks good. It has really good pop to it, the first thing you notice in that picture is what the dog is wearing before your eye goes to other stuff. I'd crop a bit tighter and call it good with that one.

I just took this just now. Wife was test fitting it on our puppy. That's our patio. I will try to find a spot where there's like nothing in the back.

Boy, there is a lot going on that shot OTHER than the dog's shirt. I hope it doesn't distract buyers from seeing the shirt.
The background is bright, the vertical bars are 'heavy' in the frame, the plants are just 'there', and the colors still look kind of washed out.
Is it possible to plan out locations that really cause the dog and the shirt to stand out?
You have a light colored dog and a light colored jersey here. Do you have a dark (clean) blanket or throw you can toss onto a sofa (or drape over the real back of the sofa onto the floor creating a seamless backdrop) and put the dog there without a bunch of other distracting elements? Also, don't be afraid of a little contrast/saturation in post (unless you are going for the high key/washed out look).
At the end of the day, the dog and the shirt are not the main and only focus of the image, so the sales potential may suffer.
