Windows Live Photo Gallery does a good job of stitching a pano together and it's free.

Lightroom for 79.99 on amazon is better imo.

(again) I've been lazy with doing "real panoramics".... I was bored late Saturday night and decided to find some old RAW files to play with.

this is my 2nd attempt at combining HDR AND stitching multiple shots (ugh, what a PITA, I definitely NEED to upgrade the RAM on my computer )

Wow! Seems like quite a project. What did you do first? Process to HDR then stitch?

Is that a windows only program?

And...how in the world do you get your panos to show so big?

if you are looking for Mac try Hugin, it also does a fine job.

http://hugin.sourceforge.net/

regarding flickr linking if you are on the new Flickr one of the additional linking sizes it gives you is 1600 wide, I like to use that for pano's and other detailed photos on AZ.

Thanks man! Yah...i'm not on the new flicker, I'm afraid I'll hate it. Can you go back if you don't like it?

I think you can, but I also am quite sure they will be moving to it permanently soon.

It has some quirks for sure but overall I've adapted to it. It's not perfect but it shows the photos nicely, fitting the screen. And it does give you those additional linking sizes. I do upload most of my photos at 1920px wide these days, you must do that in order to get the 1600 option.

reading this again it is misleading, if you want 1600px wide all you need to do is post a photo that is at least 1600px wide.

Nice pictures! I'm looking for recommendation for a decent camera that's not too expensive for this type of application. Anyone?
