Until end: Completely new developed generation of V-engines. Six-, eight and twelve-cylinder with slightly smaller displacement and suitable for gasoline direct-injection. Change from three- to four-valve technique.
Until end: Four-cylinder diesel engines 200CDI and 220CDI in the C- and E-Class will be equipped with Russpartikelfilter - no additives needed.
