Intermediate
The more I look at it, the more I see there is to like. Yes, evolutionary, but more aggressive, less "bulbous". I love the asymmetrical cut of the wood on the console near the cupholders. Definitely near the top of the list from a style perspective in this class, can't wait to hear drive reviews. But I agree with charliemike, the name is no good...go back to the 'G'!

not as bad as I thought it would be. less beluga-whale looking than some of the other infiniti designs. or maybe it's just that, compared to the new Lexus IS, Infiniti's design language doesn't seem so bad.

I thought I was the only one that thought Infiniti's resembled baluga whales. Agreed, this is less baluga whale looking

Looks good. The lower touch screen display is huge, a la Model S.

^ It's a Q50. To distinguish it from the Q60 and Q70. It's a very simple naming system.

So after two successful generations...they saw fit to rename their mid-sized sedan after their former full size flagship???
When I clicked on this I thought they were brining the flagship back and I was excited.
Now, I'm disappointed, confused, and wonder what former acura employee they hired that thought this was a good idea...

well, it was posted awhile ago, in another thread that Infiniti is going to change their whole model/naming system. Believe me, none of us Infiniti owners are happy about this because this technically means our models will be ending. Plus it's just confusing.

It looks like the new Mazda6 to me with the exception of the greenhouse. Overall they played it safe and didn't f*** it up like Lexus (naming scheme aside). Also I find it funny that no one mentioned the dual screen setup while everyone moaned about it with the RLX. StonedCL is going to have his hands full with customers looking for leases.

I'll lease an Infinity from Stoned.
It doesn't look bad at all. Hoping the navi screen shots, may push something like google maps since the competition is doing that.
Now I want to hear the specs...

I love the exterior but the interior reminds me of a Buick

It's amusing that people still get the spelling wrong.

I actually like it. Not bad.
Sure better than anything Acura's come up with IMO. Sigh.

It wasn't Ghosn. There is a new guy at Infiniti who used to be top dog at Audi. He implemented the huge grilles on all Audis and made all the cars very similar to each other.

Personally, I really like it. Grille is nicely done; similar to that of the JX and QX but without taking over the front end. And the entire car overall just looks good IMO. Cnet constantly complains how the maps are outdated so hopefully they will introduce something new since this is the forerunner to a new Infiniti line. But if this thing has a CVT that probably will kill it, for me at least, since I've heard that those Xtronic units Nissan uses aren't the best thing out there. Hopefully it stays with the 7AT, or even something else that Infiniti could be introducing at NAIAS.

I've been looking at the pics since last night trying to digest it. Still not sure what to think of it, or the Lexus IS for that matter. Maybe the performance will win me over. DI+Turbo(s), perhaps?

I like it. Might be worth an upgrade in my near future.
By the way, these weren't supposed to be seen until tomorrow's official reveal but someone in Canada updated the infiniti.ca site with pics prematurely and took them down already lol. Oops someone is out of a job
