i don't like the cosmetic changes....like the power but don't like the fact they lowered the redline but you can't get something for nothing.

I dont like the wheels. Cant really knock the drop cause no one has driven one yet, so Id say wait and see. but yes the idea of dropping the redlline sucks

Just for a frame of reference, when was the last time you saw 8k RPM on your car?
My statement is that the 9k redline was something that made the S2000 special and unique in the car market. It was a sport bike with 4 wheels. This somewhat diminishes that appeal.
It's still a great car, but not as exciting to me as it used to be.

One of the many things I love about the S2000 is the 9k redline. I guess I'll be shopping for a nice clean 02 or 03 S2000 now.

OK guys. I dont know how I missed that one. I had this mag in my house for like 12 days now and the info was in there, hidden.
For 04 the S2000 (and I am not sure if the name will be S2200), gets a 2.2 liter engine which although still makes 240HP total, it makes them 600 rpm lower than the 2 liter engine (at 7700 rpm, instead of the 8300 rpm the 2 liter peaked its HP). The Torque curve is not only fatter and flatter but also the peak torque is higher by 10 pounds and it comes 1000 rpm lower (at 6500 rpm instead of 7500 rpm).
Bottom line, still a screamer but not as stratospheric as before. I'd like to test drive one of them to see what Honda did in the noise department and how much easier is the car to drive in every day driving conditions. I am guessing, it's better, but still not friendly at all. We'll see.

Its growing on me real quick, some guy did this photoshop on S2Ki.
The rear bumper looks infinitely better IMO, more exotic looking.
The front looks ok, I don't mind it.

I dont know but i can notice a lot of differences i mean it not too drastic but why would you want to be so drastic with it anyway? its a very original car and i like what they have done with it...but still not too sure about the 8k redline...i enjoyed the 9k myself...well when i got the chance to drive it. Oh by the way i like that photoshop a lot! the rims look hot too!

Revving at 9K...
JDM S2000 launch!! They're keep 9K redline!!
http://www.honda.co.jp/S2000/
Check it out. I'd wish the US offer both 2.2 and the 2.0 liter version. I'd keep the 2.0 with 9K redline.
