Sorry guys, you're losing your touch.

There will be a more powerful better performing version of the TSX, there just has to.

They had that same deal last year...I might...just might have to take them up on that one of these days. (I wonder what the insurance is like, lol)

1SICKLEX is not in the same category as Gilbo. 1sick still has senses, knows right from wrong, although strays often to the dark side. Gilbo is plainly losing it.

but, yeah, S2000 should have been an Acura, as well as the old Prelude. Make the RSX a civic si. A friend of mine used to drive Lexus ls, then switched to s2000.

Anyone who thinks the S2000 should have been an Acura doesn't understand the reason why HONDA made the car in the first place. Besides, the S2000 is far too spartan to be in a luxury car line-up (and actually that is one of the things I like about it).

If you look closesly those rumors from soopa are from sources here What the same source told me is not that it would be from the s2k platform but a different version of the new nsx/hsc platform.

for my understanding, s2k is a model to celebrate Honda 50yrs anni., so it comes as a Honda rather than a Acura.

Would it be farfetched to ask Acura for a sports car based on the S2k? seems if we are thinkinhg about it, they've already thought about it?

Auto Spies World Exclusive: How will Acura overcome the FWD objection on the TL? - - Source: Autospies

Sources tell the spies that the killer AWD system coming on the 2005 Acura RL (SH-AWD) will be an option on future TL's and TSX's.

Gav you're right ... if the TSX gets AWD, 220hp ain't gonna cut it ... I wonder what they'll do. I don't see anything anywhere in the world to indicate that the Euro/Japan Accord has a bigger engine available.

I assume they are confident in their transmission now as AWD adds more stress to the unit. More importantly is if a manual option will be available with the SH-AWD.

Concenring IMA, it is not ready yet for a more sporting oriented vehicle. The charge would run down quickly when pushing on the back roads.

If the TSX gets AWD, they'd better add a V6. The U.S. Accord's version makes perfect sense. At 240hp, it's still gonna be 30hp less than the TL. I don't think it's offered in Europe in the TSX because of gas prices, etc., but I'll bet it fits under the hood Accords V6 will fit under the hood of the TSX just fine. I don't know about the FX fighter... I guess it'll be based on the Accord, huh? Does Acura really need two car based SUVs?

there is no reason why they would not put it on all the models, the SH-AWD video had it on a friggen Accord that was tearing up the snow and track.

Acura has finally listened to our ramp!

my wish is bmw suspension + honda's SH-AWD now that would be a dream handling car

Well this being Acura, I can imagine they will leave the hp as is so that the models remain spaced out how they are.

Guys you have to remember why Acura put outthe TSX to begin with. Its a low end, AFFORDABLE luxury car. The TL is likely to get the more goodies than the TSX. Thats an idustry thing. Go For The Buck

The AWD system shouldn't ad more than a few thousand tops to the TSX's price. That's not to bad if they include an engine upgrade along with it (which I'm sure they will). It'll still be a great bang for the buck.

I am not sure about the auto tranny, though AWD options in that class add, on average, about $1700. That's the case with the G35, the 325iX, etc.

Confirmed: Honda to Add Smal Car, Acura Light Truck

LOS ANGELES -- American Honda Motor Co. Inc. will add a small car to the Honda lineup next year and give Acura a second light truck sometime in the next two years, Executive Vice President Thomas Elliott disclosed last week.

Conceding a need for Honda to lure younger buyers, Elliott said the new car will be "a true entry-level car, cheaper than the Civic."

He declined to elaborate.

Jeff Schuster, director of product analysis for J.D. Power & Associates, said the Honda Fit is on his company's latest forecast for sale in the United States. "I have it coming in mid to late '05," he said.

The front-drive subcompact Honda Fit is sold in Japan as a four-door sedan, the Aria, and in Europe as the five-door Jazz. It is powered by gasoline engines ranging from 1.2 liters to 1.5 liters. The car is smaller than the Civic.

A dealer source said last week that Honda executives had told him the U.S. car will be a version of the Fit.

"It will be a car for young people in about the $12,000 range," said the source. "Young people will be able to accessorize it like the (Toyota) Scion."

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc., which is rolling out its Scion youth brand nationwide this year, says Scion buyers typically add more than $1,000 worth of factory-authorized accessories to their vehicles at the dealership.

Elliott would not give any details about the new Acura truck, but said it will be smaller than the MDX and probably would not be built in the United States.

"Our percentage of truck sales is not where the market is," Elliott said. "If you want to compete, you must be comparable to the market."

Trucks represented 53.7 percent of total U.S. vehicle sales through April 30, but only 38.9 percent of American Honda's sales, which were about flat through the first four months of the year.

I know this is old news for alot of us, but I don't think this has been confirmed by anyone from Honda like it has now. Can't wait to see the fit up close and personal.

dabuda I've never seen the car in your first pic. Is that the Fit sedan?

I was hoping for the wagon version like the one in my post. I've heard great things about the stow away seating system. Maybe their bringing over both?
