Where to mount bluetooth mic?

I installed a KDC x994 in my 2g tl and it works great. However my mic is currently on my A pillar and picks up alot of road noise when I get on the freeway. Any suggestions as to a better spot to place it?

I drilled a hole in my dash kit so it sits beside/flush with the deck. Works for me but try various places temporarily until you find a good spot. Can your deck adjust or compensate for noise in its settings?

Hmm, that's strange. I have an X993 (previous model) and my mic is on the top of my A-pillar and it works great. I can't talk with the driver's window down, but that's something I expected.

And yes, there are BT settings in the menus that you could try to manipulate to try to get rid of some of the noise.

DO you have to talk towards your deck at all to compensate for the location?

Thats correct, I can manipulate the settings but Im still getting complaints. Its fine around town but once I hit the freeway it's all downhill.

I thought of that spot. I assumed the sunroof would have gave me road noise issues.
